🎭 Join the Cast of The Primary Colors! 🎨

Lights, camera… action! We’re assembling a Cast of Characters for The Primary Colors, and there’s still room for a few budding stars! In this vibrant story of friendship, acceptance, the beauty of diversity, and the power of prayer, each character brings their own unique hue to the story. And now, your child has a chance to be part of the production!

With the audition (campaign) deadline set for November 16, this is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for your child to join the “cast” and have their likeness modeled as a character in the book. Imagine seeing their face in The Primary Colors—a keepsake that will inspire young readers for years to come!

Recently, someone asked if I have any songs that inspire my writing. Truthfully, I prefer quiet while I write, but music is always with me throughout the day. Songs of praise keep me going, fill me with gratitude, and motivate me to fulfill my purpose. Here’s a look at some favorites—the top one especially speaks to me:
“How can I serve You, Lord?
How can I please You, Lord?
…Make a name for Yourself with my life.”

Thank you to everyone who supported our book campaign yesterday! We’re at 36 backers and $1,510 of our $5,000 goal. We’re not quite where I hoped we’d be, but I’m grateful! We are extending the 5-free book giveaway another day—please keep sharing and pledging. Thank you!

Here are the Stats!
Thanks to your amazing support, we’ve raised $1,245 of our $5,000 goal with 29 backers (including 6 fellow creators!). We have 14 days left, and so far, we’ve collected 16 book donations for children in need. 💛💙❤️

Can you help us reach 229 backers by midnight EST tomorrow, November 4? Whether you share the project with just one person or pledge if you haven’t yet, each action brings us closer to our goal. We have pledge levels as low as $5.

We are so grateful for the support we’ve received so far! We have raised $845 out of $5,000 with the wonderful help of 18 backers. However, we’ve been stuck in a bit of a rut the past couple of days. Many of you have mentioned wanting to back the campaign, and if you’re considering it, backing today rather than tomorrow would make a huge difference. The sooner we build momentum, the stronger the campaign becomes. Will you help get us to $2000 by the end of today?

I can hardly believe the moment is almost here! Tomorrow at 3:00 PM EST, The Primary Colors campaign goes live, and I couldn’t be more excited! 🎉

In 2020, during one of the most challenging times of my life, I lost both my parents. Amidst that pain, I founded Paradise Restored Publishing to give a voice to myself and other talented but marginalized writers. Since then, I’ve written and published three award-winning books, and now, I’m preparing to publish my fourth—The Primary Colors—a story that celebrates diversity, acceptance, and the beauty of community. 💛💙❤️

We are thrilled to announce a collaboration with Restorers Haven, a United States 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing essential support to orphans and underserved communities. Through its incredible work, Restorers Haven offers food, shelter, clothing, literacy programs, and educational materials to children in need—helping to equip them for brighter futures. In Nigeria, Restorers Haven is actively housing, feeding, and educating orphans, and its mission continues to expand with plans for new housing projects.

Restorers Haven also supports local communities in the United States through food drives and partnerships with other charitable organizations.

As part of our crowdfunding campaign for The Primary Colors, we are excited to offer an opportunity for our supporters to have copies of the book donated on their behalf to Restorers Haven. When you pledge at certain levels, your contribution will help provide the books as educational materials to orphans, advancing their literacy and preparing them for their futures.

We are very pleased to say that Morenike Euba Oyenusi has been selected by Baltimore City’s Office of Promotion and the Arts to participate in a city-wide series of events called Free Fall Baltimore in October. Hosted by The Ivy Bookshop on Falls Road, she will be providing a workshop for children on October 5 at 12 noon.

Bring your children (ages 6-12) and the whole family. Ms. Oyenusi will share her journey of writing and publishing Chasing Butterflies in the Sunlight. Listen to her read a story from the book, be inspired to find your voices and tell your stories and participate in fun hands-on activities that will spark your creativity! Plus, the first 24 families will receive a free copy of the book and an activity workbook.

The lively story of Isaiah’s battle with the unwelcome performers will keep you on the edge of your seat until the grande finale.

We were pleased to contribute books at our local Foundry Row Chick-fil-A to the new story time corner that they are putting together. They need help collecting picture books by any author, preferably preschool age. Bring yours over (and earn yourself a kids meal coupon for donating the books).
