Today marks the first full year of us vlogging our journeys and adventures for the channel!
It all started in Poland where we had no idea what we were doing, how to edit or how to record a decent video. But we knew that we just wanted to share videos without cheesy stock music, overproduction or cherry picking our experiences to show only the good stuff which we were seeing a lot of from other couples vlogging channels on YouTube...this was enough motivation for us to start our own YouTube channel so we could provide a travel experience from the perspective of a couple, without all the fluff so to speak! 🙂
Instead we wanted to share a more raw, honest vlogging experience as it can be both rewarding and stressful to travel, and we wanted to show all sides rather than trying to paint a picture of a perfect little vacation were we stroll hand in hand on a fancy beach somewhere, whilst stock YouTube music plays in the background like so many other of these channels in our niche these days.
Instead we went round vlogging all of our experiences, even the bad ones such as getting stopped on the border of Bosnia to be searched, or getting robbed after 10 minutes of arriving in Athens; right through to the positive experiences such as taking a cable car up a Swiss mountain to see some breath-taking views from a mountain village, or eating camel meat with the amazingly friendly locals of Oman...we've always promised to keep it real with you all, the good and the bad!
We just want to firstly say thank you to everyone who has supported us along this journey, and thank you to everyone who has (and will) join us as we continue on with our adventures too.
The next videos we are posting from next week you'll see a clear improvement in audio, video and production quality as we have been working hard on this to provide you the most raw, authentic experiences we can give, and have invested in better equipment and software to bring you the best videos we can on our limited budget! 🙂
