Or Two Strangers opens the summer season with a new EP from label boss Antrim. Continuing to build on his success, the Cordoba resident ended 2022 looking back on what was another banner year. Choosey in his projects across the twelve-month stretch, Antrim delivered some of the year's most memorable releases, beginning with the Abi Ferraresi vocal led piece ‘Seek the Sun’. Released courtesy of Or Two Strangers it set the course for his latest vehicle via Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music entitled ‘Stax’, before delivering one of the year's most exciting cover productions ‘You’re Not Alone’ featuring Paula OS. With 2023 getting underway with an EP for Brazil’s long standing Warung Recordings, Antrim now returns to his comfortable home of Or Two Strangers with ‘Risk | Suru’.

OTS013 - After Burn - La Mandolina (+ Antrim Remix)

The latest release from Antrim's Or Two Strangers imprint finds the label presenting the debut of 'After Burn'. Best known as one of half of Some Little Things, Leandro Moyano now debuts his solo artist alias. 'After Burn' will focus on the deeper spectrum of house with an emphasis on soul and musicality. The Argentinean artist launches the new moniker with a three track EP entitled 'La Mandolina' alongside a remix from Antrim.

Beginning with the title and showcase piece 'La Mandolina', Leandro sets a strong precedent for the 'After Burn' sound. It's stripped, mid-tempo groove is wonderfully accented with organic percussion and gorgeous strums. Aptly titled, the piece moves through a free flowing storyboard of Mandolin motifs, fully realized during a stunning one minute interlude, before timely effects and a pulsating groove carry the journey home. The EP's second selection 'Pompeya' continues the deep and mystical vibe with charming themes and tribal infused drums. Backed by a warm chunky groove, it's drifting, tripped out clusters tantalize the senses and highlight this soulful story. The third and final selection 'Allegro De Sonata' completes the collection with a punchier framework and spacey effects. Waves of drums steal the air as synth swells and fluid instrumentation converge for many impassioned moments along the way.

The lone interpretation of ‘La Mandolina’ is provided by Or Two Strangers label boss Antrim. The Argentinean artist is fresh off the release of his Beatport chart topping ‘I Hear The Distance’ EP along with key outings on Asymmetric Recordings and One Of A Kind. Never one to get stuck in a particular sonic space Antrim explores deeper sensibilities on his ‘La Mandolina’ interpretation. Processed and edited to perfection, the main themes translate well against a warm, driving foundation. Cross-cultural choirs add the icing on the cake, pushing the mystical boundaries further to an exhilarating finale.

A stunning debut for Leandro Moyano's 'After Burn' moniker which looks to make its mark throughout all spectrums of deep house moving forward.
