2023 is the year most of my dreams died. The only one that survived, was doing this album on my own Stólar imprint.
It was supposed to be a happy and dancefloor driven album. It still is the second but the connotation for me changed. It’s still about a night in a department store. About the imagination, excitement, the dreams and desires you have while thinking of all the possibilities you have in this situation.

I wanted this release to be special, starting with the artwork, which was done by Jules and her ai alter ego Ruta Diallo. She captured, what was in my mind and my imagination in the most perfect way.
Also I wanted to have a little department store myself. With some specialties for the release. And it’s here - you cannot only find a bag and caps but also a shirt with the special design and drawing by Valentin and also Jules mastery artworks are available for the first time on Stólar.

This one dream, came true - because of my wonderful friends, of people that trust me and my vision. So please - take this album in your arms and greet it like an old friend, like a person you love. And even if life is grey and blue, there will always be beauty and I hope those songs are as beautiful to you as they are to me.

For the next Stólar release our good friend Jules Villbrandt aka Ruta Diallo created images to each track of the album "Movements In An Empty Department Store"

You are able to get those artworks as Fine Art Prints in a scale of 40 x 40 cm, with a 1 cm white boarder.

We will always collect orders on those artworks until every 15th of the months and order afterwards to reduce CO2.

If you want to pick up in Berlin or combine with other products please let us know and contact us via bandcamp or here on Instagram.

We are delighted to welcome to Stólar.
His „Trail“ EP is set to release on March 11th and can already be found on stolar.bandcamp.com.

Now let us introduce Metome to you.

Based in Osaka, Japan, Metome is the solo project of artist Takahiro Uchibori.

The first couple of years saw him engaged in a flurry of activity: in 2014 his album “Objet”-which would help reposition Osaka on the map as a hotspot for electronic music, showcasing his musicality and craftsmanship- was picked up by Bandcamp’s top page for “New and Notable Records”. This led to a successful American tour the following year and to the subsequent release of the “Angel EP”. 2016 saw Metome release “Palm EP”.

Over the course of his career, Metome has continued to redefine his sound, with his earlier work incorporating elements of funk, nu-jazz, and post-dubstep, lush with repitched vocals meticulously interspersed amongst warm, Rhodes chords and thick, fuzzy bass lines. His later work has seen him venture into the realms of left-of-center, experimental sound design, exploring new depths that seek to challenge our musical sensibilities while never forfeiting the attention to details.

To celebrate our third birthday in March, we are creating a small batch of STÓLAR Logo Sweatshirts. To be more eco friendly we are just producing what you order.
You can order this weekend, the sweatshirts go into production the next week (January 17th)

The front is embroidered and the back gets a good old screen print.

This Sweater features the outstanding logo artwork by Valentin Tatauierung.
