Hey everybody,

There are still a few days left to register for University of Toronto’s micro-budget filmmaking course. In-person and online options are available.

In-person (Mondays 6-9pm): September 16 - December 9
Online (Wednesdays 6-9pm: September 18 - December 4

The course is designed specifically for new and emerging producers/filmmakers who are looking to get a film project off the ground (short or feature), but may not have the track record to secure financing from traditional film institutions. If you’re someone who’s struggling to get a project off the ground or someone who has a burning passion to share a story, but doesn’t know where to start, then this is the course for you.
The course covers everything from developing your film project to marketing/distribution. Throughout the twelve weeks, you’ll break down a script, create efficient schedules, calculate appropriate tax credits, get tips on shooting and editing at a low-budget production, draft a marketing plan, write compelling grant applications, and learn how to pitch your project to producers, broadcasters, distributors, and other funding agencies.

The course also features several guest speakers working in the Canadian film industry who will be sharing their experiences.
If you have any specific questions about the course just shoot me a message. More than happy to chat. A link to more info on the course and registration can also be found below.

Hope to see you in class.
