I-VERIFY ANG PAGKAKAKILANLAN NG NAGPAPADALA NG MENSAHE

Paano Ito Gagawin:
Kapag nakatanggap ka ng mensahe mula sa isang contact na nagpapakilalang kilala mo, pero tila may kakaiba sa kanilang mga mensahe (halimbawa, hinihingi ang pera o tulong), i-verify muna ang kanilang pagkakakilanlan bago magbigay ng anumang impormasyon o aksyon. Tawagan o tanungin sila gamit ang ibang platform upang siguraduhin na sila talaga ang nagpadala ng mensahe.

Ano ang Mangyayari Kung Hindi Ito Gagawin:
Kung hindi mo ito i-verify, maaaring kausapin ka ng isang scammer na nagpapanggap bilang isang kakilala mo at hihingan ka ng pera o personal na impormasyon. Madalas nilang gagamitin ang mga hacked accounts upang magpanggap bilang kaibigan o pamilya, kaya’t hindi mo agad mapapansin ang scam hanggang sa huli. Maaari kang mawalan ng pera o mahulog sa mas malaking scam.

Halimbawa:
Nakatanggap ka ng mensahe mula sa kaibigan mo sa isang messaging app na humihingi ng emergency financial help. Dahil akala mo ay totoo, nagpadala ka ng pera. Maya-maya, nalaman mong na-hack pala ang account ng kaibigan mo at ang perang ipinadala mo ay napunta sa scammer.

There are so many stories out now on those pay-per-chapter apps that are so obviously unplanned that it makes me want to pull my hair out. What do I mean by unplanned? It is like the author goes, "I wonder what my character will do today?" so each chapter is literally a day-by-day journal of what they will do ... which translates to the story moving so slowly.

My advice to authors, in general:
1. have some sort of plan. It doesn't have to be precise to the last stroke, but at least have an idea of where you are going and how you are getting there.
2. A story does not have to be long to be interesting. Many successful authors have proven this time and again. It's not about the length; it's the quality.
3. Keep track of what is happening in your story. Character names, who said what, their gender, what was said last. If you have to reread what you last wrote.
4. Write about what you know. It shocks me to discover young authors (16 years old, for example) delving into reverse harems, and then when you read their spicy scenes, it is obvious they don't have the real-world experience (even with normal one-on-one) to write them. Just knowing how to position all the players and their body parts is a challenge. My suggestion for them is to stick to YA. That is still a big market.

Do those things, at least, and you will get fewer complaints from readers.

Earlier today, I drank a Tetra pack of Chuckies. Shortly after, I broke out in hives. Good thing I had some antihistamine on me.0

I was quite surprised at the reaction, to be honest. It hasn't happened before, but then, I've never really drank a whole serving before.

Watching Lady Jane on Amazon Prime. I love the narrative format, which is reminiscent of The Princess Bride. The fact that Edward Bluemel, who plays Guildford Dudley, resembles Henry Cavill was definitely part of what kept things interesting. :D
