Thank you for watching! Today we cover the new Jedi vehicles the -Vanguards and Vectors from Star Wars The High Republic and the as of right now new books/comics. They are sleek vehicles designed with a minimalistic body so that the pilot (a jedi/force user) can feel EVERYTHING around the ship. That means all bumps, turbulence and obstacles they may come across. They are also equipped with absolutely ZERO shields and can only be activated with a lightsaber key which is true for most technology the Jedi use in the High Republic. They have a lot of encounters with the Nihil which is the only true opposition we've seen these bad boys up against so far.

We read through Chapter 2 of Andrew Winegarner's comic adaptation of Rise of the Skywalker - the alternate script produced by Collin Trevorrow. It's heating up *literally* as Kylo Ren attempts to access a holocron from Darth Sidious meant for Darth Vader discussing the temple of Mortis and is struck with vicious lightning. This attack chars his face badly and creates the need for an ACTUAL MASK! That's right, he now actually has a good reason to wear the mask! Rey is doubting herself and plots her next moves while speaking with the ghost of Jedi Master Luke Skywalker.

How do Jedi See and Interact with the force?
In Star Wars The High Republic we are given a LOT more context into the Jedi and what led them to become what we saw in the movies and beyond. Specifically we learn more about how Jedi visualize and interact with the force and that's what we'll be covering today. Each Jedi interprets the force differently seemingly based on their personalities, backgrounds and specific strengths in the force. For example, Loden Greatstorm dances with the force in the wind while Bell Zettifar dances in the flames. The specific feat we cover in this video revolves around stopping a vessel carrying Tabana Gas from hitting the sun which wouldn't be possible without the power of Avar Kriss uniting the Jedi's efforts across the galaxy.

In "around" 2 minutes (I failed in this first entry to keep it under 2 minutes, but I will do better in the future!) we cover the crew of the "Vessel" including Geode the Rock, Affie Hollow and Leox Gyasi. The Star Wars High Republic: Into the Dark sees our freighter Vessel in picking up a contingent of Jedi including Jedi Master Cohmac Vitus, Wayseeker Orla Jareni, Jedi Knight Dez Rydan and Padawan in training Reath Silas. The last two of which both train under the legendary Jedi Master Jora Malli. Everything is going well until it isn't!

Pyramid Schemes.. In Star Wars?? - The Nihil Rise
The Nihil are a new criminal organization introduced in the Star Wars High Republic books. They are a sophisticated group of Space Viking Marauder types that hail from all sectors of the galaxy. What makes them special is the use of "Paths" that allow them to take shortcuts through hyper space allowing them to appear and disappear on a whim. The Nihil operate under the Rule of 3 which states all earnings will be split evenly amongst the group with another fair share going towards The Eye who supplies them with the paths. They are an EXTREMELY powerful group with a nefarious plan in the works so the story should only get juicier as we go along!
The Most Powerful Female In Star Wars - Mari San Tekka
Mari San Tekka is among the most powerful females in all of Star Wars particularly in Star Wars the High Republic and prior. She set the foundation for safe hyperspace travel and has the innate ability to see shortcuts through Hyperspace. This is an EXTREMELEY rare ability and to everybody present in the new High Republic books is absolutely unheard of. The San Tekka Clan is aware of Mari's powers, but believes her to be long dead as the events of the Legacy Run disaster unfold. Mari San Tekka made her family incredibly wealthy and renown , but she gets no take in it as she was kidnapped by The Nihil and forced to create shortcuts in hyperspace for them to conduct their nefarious deeds through. Mari San Tekka is connected to Lor San Tekka from The Force Awakens through lineage so the San Tekka Clan has survived centuries to the point of The Force Awakens.

Yoda finally gets a much needed exploration of his history before the events of The Phantom Menace into his exile on Dagobah and training of Luke Skywalker. Star Wars The High Republic put out 3 new books and a new series of comics as well as some new Star Wars fan art and we talk a bit about Yoda's place in all of that here. The events of Star Wars The High Republic take place about 200-300 years before The Phantom Menace so Yoda is about 600-700 years old in these new High Republic books. He isn't super prominent in these books, but he is mentioned and is very respected and still out training younglings across the galaxy! He isn't nearly as tied down to the temple as he is in the movies.

Rare Force Ability - Psychometry/Retro Cognition
Psychometry AKA Echo Sense AKA Retro Cognition is a VERY Rare force ability in the Star Wars Universe that users are born with. It historically has not been a teachable ability which is what makes it one of the rarest force abilities in all of Star Wars. It's not flashy like other force abilities which is why it isn't widely talked about, but it does have VERY useful traits that can lead to money, power and fame if properly utilized OR can add to the worlds knowledge base. Correcting history or our understanding of history could be another application of the ability rating it very high on my list of coolest force abilities, most wanted force abilities and most powerful abilities.
