Kon Tiki in Tucson, Arizona has the largest original collection of Milan Guanko carvings. Milan was a SoCal artist who carved in the 50s and 60s. His family emigrated from the Philippines to the U.S. in 1928.

The luxury of our neighborhood island escape being home to 12 different original Milan pieces isn’t lost on us. We brought out photographer Julius Schlosburg to get some pictures for us. Kon Tiki Restaurant & Lounge was gracious enough to give us the pre-noon hours to capture some great imagery.

Desert Escape...

Perched in the Mule Mountains of Southern Arizona is the city of Bisbee - an artist centric town near the border where the imagination is free to roam. We love to head down when we can to be in its energy. There's a great Vintage Trailer Court called The Shady Dell where we took India Williams to take some photos and remind us what Tiki is all about - creating an oasis wherever you are.

The ʻĪao Valley stream cuts through the lush Maui landscape as sunset nears. It’s best when quiet and overcast sitting on the rocks while the feral kittens plod along the shoreline and park area looking for a morsel. The light is like no other place on earth.
