The first transformation I ever completed, the one that gave me confidence and taught me how to use power tools. The one that I still love just as much today as I did when I finished it and it proved that you can literally make it up as you go along and it all works out in the end (a method I still trust in to this day). I remember viewing this house and seeing it in my minds eye, not as it was but what it could be and this was the transformation that made me realise it was all going to be better than I ever imagined.

Finally the shelves are back in their usual order, although we’re never getting rid of this tree that can be associated with all seasons and not just Christmas and Sirius definitely doesn’t belong there but you can’t blame a guy for basking in the winter sun now can you?

A little round up of my favourite pictures of home through the months last year. Not my most liked by any means but I chose one each month that made feel a little bit giddy about how far that space had come versus the previous year. I’m so looking forward to seeing them all go through another cycle of seasons and the changes that come with that, my favourite thing about starting January is having that all to come. I also appear to have found sunshine basically every month of last year and I’ll take it, what month are you? Ya gal here is definitely an autumn!

I’m back with another in my little series of room evolutions and this time it’s the hall, stairs and landing. Nothing has tested me like this did but nothing has undergone a bigger change and made me feel prouder than I get to be the caretaker of this beautiful home and bring the features back to life.

Tree down, sun out, haven’t quite got to the putting everything back stage of proceedings yet but all of the sunlight and disco dots through the bay was definitely a welcome sight in the meantime.

This week has marked a year since I decided to do 90 days without alcohol, 90 days turned into deciding to stop drinking and it’s honestly not been something I’ve missed yet. I always said if I want a drink I’ll have one and so I had a couple of drinks in Paris and some fizz at Twixmas which I’m pleased were considered my choices and not habitual mistakes. I’ve done Glastonbury, holidays, girls nights, weekends away, kareoke and everything else I enjoy and not once have I enjoyed it less than I did before. Who knows if it’s forever but I’m certainly super proud to explored it for the last year.

These cushions were added to my sofa by for a shoot who got them because she thought they’d look perfect here. Turns out she was right so I went out and bought them because my god don’t they just look perfect here 🤩

This is also your sign that amaryllis make just as good squat arrangements as they do tall ones.

The stacking of 12/12, Friday 13th, a Gemini full moon and an approaching solstice got me feeling all kinds of spiritually connected. I can’t wait for Full Moon Hot Yin Yoga later and then I’m off to Carols by Candlelight with my neighbour so I feel like today is going to be a lovely day.

On another note who can believe it’s only 10 days until we get to see the Gavin and Stacey Christmas Special?!

I found this little tree forever ago in a charity shop for £1 isn’t he just the cutest with some baubles on?!

Today I’m off on a mercy mission to .triangle.house to re-wallpaper a hallway. I made some outlandish commitment that I can do it in a day so we better hope my time estimations are on point otherwise I’m probably going to ruin Christmas 😂

Happy Friday everyone! It feels like two seconds since I said that last where is the time going?! I feel like I really need this weekend even if it is a busy one again I’m absolutely wiped. Here’s a different peek at my festive twinkles, I love coming home and catching sight of this view.

The Christmas Table! So cats out the bag, I’ve had a Christmas feature shot this week which was the perfect excuse to practice setting up the Christmas table. I need to add some crackers for Christmas Day but I love it, pretty simple but I hate having to move things round when I just want to eat dinner. I made this table centre and it’s the first time I’ve done one so really pleased with how it’s turned out 🩷💚

Nothing beats a festive shuffle does it. I’m in that place where I’m 99% sure I’m not going to find the majority of my belongings until sometime in March but I think the big man will like the upgrade so who minds a bit 🎄

I had a gorgeous time on Saturday making my final fresh festive bits with and here is this year’s wreath. I’m super proud of this half and half, I was cracking on and then a lovely lady who I was sat with decided to make a single foliage wreath with just conifer which inspired me to swap to this halfway through for this dual finish. I make a lot of wreaths so it was really nice to do something different 🩷

The second stairs, understated I’d say by my standards no?! I had such a lovely day yesterday making a garland, table centre and wreath which I can’t wait to get up and faff with today. I hope everyone stayed safe in this storm, I’ve had a lot of garden casualties and it felt like the house was going to fall in with the amount of wind flying through the fireplaces last night.

Ad | The living room is finished and has been made ever more perfect by the most gorgeous bow topper from

The wonderful Simone reached out to me because she thought this was perfect for my home and because she knows life has not been all that easy lately, she’s a real life Christmas angel I’ll tell you that for free. So here it is my very special bow tree which is feeding the excitement of inner 8 year old me who kinda wishes there was a Barbie dreamhouse underneath it again 🎀

The final mantle in all it’s glory, my monstera has had to go on a little sojourn to make this work but I don’t think he’s mad about. I hope everyone’s got a lovely weekend planned? Mine is yoga, an all day festive floristry workshop and a sound bath - all of the food for the soul.

And you thought my last bow was big, well so did I until I got my hands on this one!

I am in love with how the landing has ended up. To think that last year the floorboards were bare and I was still cleaning klinstrip out of woodwork with a rotary jewellery cleaner and now I’m hanging giant bows and shoving half a tree into my bannister. It really is always worth it in the end 🩷
