TPA ✈️ DEN

I’m off to a week I’ve been planning and collaborating on for over a 3.5 months! Bringing in 10 Regional Operations Managers from all over the country to participate in 1:1 engaging learning stations JUST FOR THEM! This is unlike any other “conference” I’ve planned or attended before.

Oh and casually providing Communication Development Training to 30 leaders in our organization! 👩‍💻

The funny thing is - It was only 20 months ago I couldn’t get an interview for a job. Our chapters ebb and flow - and I’m beyond thankful for the opportunities I am creating today. 💪🏻

A year ago I was having to use ChatGPT to come up with “non-boring questions to ask when networking that aren’t about shared work or a project” and putting those results in my notes app.

I’ve spent so many years hiding how hard things are for me because I *thought* they should be easier. I over compensated for my insecurities by being hyper focused on work and feeling like the only value add I provided was work value.

But tonight, at a networking dinner with a vendor partner, I was present. I was genuinely engaged as we all shared stories of the paths that brought us to that table. I never even had to pull out my notes app.

I knew that just being there and being me - I was a value add. ♥️

One hell of a year 📆

It is with a full heart that I share I will be taking a long-term pause on Gen Authentic. Words will never be able to express what this podcast gave me over the last 365 days.
She carried me through being laid off.
She was my champion battling with depression.
She was the ink on the love letter to myself.

For these reasons, I will be eternally grateful to Gen Authentic. I have truly discovered my authentic self through the work I’ve done on this podcast.

I originally called my podcast “The Millennial Sparkle” and it was focused on how millennials in the workplace today are shaking up the classic corporate culture. But after getting laid off – I felt like a fraud.

A year later I have more corporate gigs than I even know what to do with and I now know I am not a fraud. I make a big difference in the lives I touch and I see that now.

After soft launching “The Morning Huddle: Your daily dose of change experience” I can see that I do bring value to the corporate conversation and there is a NEED for a podcast like that. My work on TMH is rewarding and challenging and I’m excited to turn my full focus to that project and hope you’ll join me igniting change through creating impactful experiences.

I will have one farewell episode next Wednesday. A “Thank You” to all my amazing supporters and friends.

My story is not over and this won’t be the last time you hear from me - as I will continue being apart of a generation of voices working more authentically through life 😢 💜

ICYMI: New Episode Dropped on Wednesday!

The MOST requested topic I have received over the last year is... "How do I actually find a good therapist?"

I always talk about the importance of finding people to support and help drive your growth on Gen Authentic and in this episode we "Decode Therapy" with Kimberly Simich Gamauf!

Not only is she an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor who specialized in assisting sexual assault victims and those struggling with anxiety and depression, she is also the first person who ever spoke to me like I was a full independent human. ❤

Aunt Kimmy, as I call her off the show, has always been a role model for me. Seeing her live a fulfilled life without having children of her own and prioritizing friendships, travel, and a healthy relationship with her spouse allowed me to see there are options available to me outside of the status quo.

I remember being a little girl and my dad going to her graduation… I can’t recall the specific details, but I remember knowing that she put herself back through school after navigating her 20s and finding her passion. Even at a young age, I knew that life and growth weren’t linear. 💪

Thank you for the life lessons Aunt Kimmy and thank you for being one of the voices of a generation working more authentically through life. ✌️

Feeling valid in my own body has taken me a long time master.

I remember not wanting to post pictures of me eating (because people would know “that’s how I got fat”)

One day I read a quote that said, “you have the same body no matter how you dress - so dress how you want”.

So here I am, I’m a two-piece eating ice cream, and loving every moment of it. ♥️
