*RAJOURI POLICE ACTS TOUGH ON TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS*

Tightening noose against violation of Motor Vehicles rules, Rajouri Police on Thursday launched a district wide drive and fined one hundred and sixty six violators besides effecting seizure of seven vehicles whereas one case has been registered in Manjakote police station for dangerous driving.

On the directions of District Police Office Rajouri, dedicated police teams from police station and police post levels launched drive and installed surprise nakas at multiple places intercepting violators of traffic rules.

During this drive, 166 violators have been fined for violating rules of different nature.

Similarly, 7 vehicles have also been seized by police teams for grave violation of norms.

Along with this, a case in FIR 108/23 U/Ss 279, 336 IPC has been registered at Manjakote police station for dangerous driving endangering life of passengers and pedestrians.

Rajouri Police further appealed all the people to follow traffic rules in letter and spirit and to ensure a proper coordination to the law enforcement agency for prevention of accidents on road.

Social activist Parvaiz Ahmed Shawl and Shakeel Samyal criticized on PWD and said the department has failed to execute the black topping work on Thannamandi -Shahdara Sharief road. They said length of road is 6.5 kms from Thannamandi to Shahadara Sharief which is in dilapidated condition. The department has called tenders for Black topping of this road and work allotted to Contractor but he fails to start the black topping work as winter season has started now. They appeal to DC Rajouri for black listing of those contractors who donot work properly.

Indian Army Conducts Swift Rescue Operation in Doda, Jammu & Kashmir

Doda: 15 Nov 2023

In a commendable display of promptness and coordination, the Indian Army, in collaboration with civil administration, conducted a swift rescue operation in response to a grievous accident on National Highway 244 at Assar, near Wani Mod, approximately 4 km from COB ASSAR towards Batote.
The incident involved a civil bus traveling from Kishtwar to Jammu, which tragically fell approximately 250 feet from the road. The time of the incident was reported to be around 1230 hours.
Key Details:

• Casualties: The unfortunate incident resulted in a total of 38 casualties, with 32 passengers declared dead initially. Additionally, 20 individuals sustained injuries, and immediate medical assistance is being provided.

• Rescue Operation: The Indian Army's quick response included the activation of a Quick Reaction Team (QRT) and medical personnel from COB Assar (1-1-28) at 1230 hrs. Army medical teams swiftly reached the accident site, evacuating the injured to Government Hospital Doda.

• Evacuation and Medical Formalities: Present efforts are focused on evacuating the injured individuals and shifting the bodies of the deceased passengers for further medical formalities. Bodies are being sent to Assar Primary Health Centre and Doda Civil Hospital.

• Total Passengers: A total of 58 individuals were on board the ill-fated bus at the time of the incident.

The Indian Army expresses its deepest condolences to the families affected by this tragic accident. The collaborative efforts with the civil administration underline the commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of citizens in times of crisis.

RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 15: On the occasion of JanJatiya Gaurav Diwas, the Prime Minister of India today launched the ambitious 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra'. The 72 day nationwide outreach and awareness campaign is aimed at promoting Government schemes to vulnerable sections of the society.

The District Administration of Rajouri played a pivotal role in bringing the nationwide launch of this grand event closer to its residents by organizing the live telecast of the event followed by commencement of the local Yatra from block Budhal Old today.

The event was graced by the presence of District Development Council Chairperson, Advocate Chowdhury Naseem Liyaqat; District Prabhari Summit Jarrangal, Director Industries & Commerce GOI and Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal.

The fundamental objectives of the Viksit Bharat Yatra is to encompass critical aspects such as reaching out to the vulnerable sections eligible under various schemes but yet to benefit, disseminating information, and fostering awareness about the schemes. The initiative further seeks to establish direct interaction with beneficiaries, sharing personal stories and experiences, while also enrolling potential beneficiaries based on information ascertained during the Yatra.

Specific focus has been placed on key schemes, including the urban areas schemes like PM Svanidhi, PM Vishwakarma Yojana, PM Mudra Yojana, PM Ujjwala Yojana, Start up India/stand up India, Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas Yojana (Urban), SBM(Urban), PM eBus Sewa, AMRUT, PM Bhartiya Jan Aushidi Pariyojana, Ujjala Yojana, Subhagya Yojana, Digital Payment infrastructure, Khelo India, RCS:UDAN, Vande Bharat Trains and Amrit Bharat Station scheme and rural areas schemes like Ayushman Bharat PMJAY, PMGKAY, DAY-NRLM, PM Awas Yojana Rural, PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM KISAN Saman, PM Vishwakarma, KCC, PM Poshan Abhiyan, JJM and SVAMITVA.

On the occasion a Mobile Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Van, designed to traverse all panchayats and urban areas was also Flagged off by the District Prabhari, Summit Jarrangal. The primary objective of the van is to achieve saturation of all schemes and enhance awareness among the populace.

The mobile unit symbolizes a proactive approach in making information accessible to every corner of the district. It reinforces the dedication of the administration in achieving comprehensive awareness, ensuring that no eligible individual is left uninformed about the transformative schemes initiated by the government for their well-being.

Additionally, Jan Jatiya Gaurav Diwas was not only marked by the launch of the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra' but also lit up with a vibrant display of cultural items that captivated the audience. The celebration resonated with the rich diversity of our nation, bringing forth a kaleidoscope of colors and traditions that added an extra layer of joy to the occasion.

Different government departments contributed to the vibrancy of the event by setting up stalls at the venue, meticulously presenting a visual narrative of the myriad schemes and programs actively being implemented in the district. Each stall became a microcosm of progress, offering a detailed insight into the transformative initiatives undertaken by different departments.

District Development Council Chairperson, Advocate Chowdhury Naseem Liyaqat passionately emphasized the significance of the Viksit Bharat Yatra, elucidating its role as a transformative nationwide journey aimed at promoting government schemes. His eloquent articulation delved into the far-reaching impact of the yatra, underscoring its pivotal role in ensuring the effective implementation of diverse welfare initiatives across the nation.

District Prabhari, Sumit Jarrangal, Director of Industries & Commerce in the Government of India underscored the significance of various welfare schemes during a recent address. Emphasizing that awareness is pivotal for the successful implementation of government initiatives, he highlighted how informed citizenry plays a crucial role in the overall success of these programs.

Moreover, he specifically highlighted the instrumental role of the "Viksit Bharat Yatra" in this context. This journey, aimed at fostering development across the nation, serves as a platform to enhance awareness and promote engagement with government schemes.

Addressing the event, the Deputy Commissioner expounded upon the expansive scope of the Yatra, which primarily aims at ensuring the effective ex*****on of the Central government welfare schemes in rural India.

Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, meticulously highlighted the spectrum of government initiatives aimed at comprehensive development. He also underscored the significance of various ongoing projects and schemes, emphasizing their collective impact on enhancing the overall socio-economic landscape of the district.

The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal also shed light on tribal welfare initiatives. ڈوڈہ ضلع کے عسر علاقے میں ایک مسافر بس گہری کھائی میں گرنے سے کم از کم 36 افراد ہلاک اور 19 زخمی ہوگئے۔ ایک مقامی خبررساںایجنسی(کے این او) کے مطابق بس آج صبح عسر کے علاقے میں سڑک سے پھسل کر گہری کھائی میں گر گئی۔ان کا کہنا تھا کہ واقعے کے فوری بعد ریسکیو ٹیم موقع پر پہنچ گئی۔
“اس افسوسناک واقعے میں اب تک 36 افراد ہلاک ہو چکے ہیں، جب کہ 19 زخمی ہو چکے ہیں۔ شدید زخمیوں کو علاج کے لیے ہوائی جہاز سے جموں لے جایا گیا ہے۔ادھر وزیر اعظم نریندر مودی نے اس المناک حادثے پر غم کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے مرنے والوں کے لواحقین کو دو دو لاکھ روپے کی امداد کا اعلان کیا۔جموں و کشمیر کے ڈوڈہ میں بس حادثہ افسوسناک ہے۔ ان خاندانوں سے میری تعزیت جو اپنے قریبی اور عزیزوں کو کھو چکے ہیں۔ میری دعا ہے کہ زخمی جلد صحت یاب ہوں۔ روپے کی ایکس گریشیا PMNRF کی طرف سے ہر مرنے والے کے لواحقین کو 2 لاکھ روپے دیئے جائیں گے۔ روپے زخمیوں کو 50,000 روپے دیئے جائیں گے، "PMO انڈیا نے X (سابقہ ​​ٹویٹر) پر ایک پوسٹ میں کہا۔مرکزی وزیر داخلہ امت شاہ اور جموں و کشمیر کے لیفٹیننٹ گورنر منوج سنہا نے بھی حادثے میں جانی نقصان پر دکھ کا اظہار کیا۔(KNO)
