Know your worth

When someone treats you like you're just one of many options, help them narrow their choice by removing yourself from the equation. Sometimes you have to try not to care, no matter how much you do. Because sometimes you can mean almost nothing to someone who means so much to you. It's not pride - it's self respect. Don't give part-time people a full-time position in your life. Know your value & what you have to offer, and never settle for anything less than what you deserve.

Turn your wounds into wisdom

Everyone has difficult times in life. Especially when you are at a crossroads and you need to make the most difficult choice - to continue to fight or succumb to external circumstances and the general mood. It’s quite difficult to insist on your own when things are not going well at all, and those around you are twirling their fingers at your temple behind your back. When no one but you believes in the success of the business, and it seems that the whole world is against you. If you know that everything should work out, you must defend your point of view and your creation. Even if you have to slow down, don’t give up or retreat, but continue moving with smaller but confident steps.

Don't speak negatively about yourself, even as a joke. Your body doesn't know the difference. Words are energy and cast spells, that's why it's called spelling. Change the way you speak about yourself and you can change your life. What you're not changing you're also choosing.

Switch your attention

When anxiety overcomes you, you need to stop fruitlessly dwelling on problems. Just tell yourself, “I won’t think about that now,” and turn your attention to your breathing. The practice of mindful breathing, in which you breathe deeply and focus on each inhalation and exhalation, can greatly help take your mind off anxiety.

Correct way to write a checklist:

1. Do a brain dump.
Write down all tasks in your head.
All projects, goals, and to-dos.
This releases cognitive load.

2. Separate tasks.

Distill it down to 3-5 big tasks for the day.
Use the Eisenhower Matrix to separate tasks by importance.
→ Urgent and Important
→ Not Urgent, but Important
→ Urgent, but Not Important
→ Not Urgent and Not Important

3. Create a Morning Routine list.

Every day, start with a simple 5-15 minute routine.
Example:
→ Water
→ Breakfast
→ Stretching
→ Plank
→ Meditation

This helps your brain switch into a productive state.

4. Time Block.

Schedule time for each task.
Work for 90 minutes and then take a break.
Use the Pomodoro Technique.
25 minute work sprints with 5 minute breaks.

5. Connect tasks to goals.

For each task, ask “Why?”
Knowing the why behind each task links it to goals.
Goals = motivation = more productivity.

6. Stop overloading your list.

Busy does not mean productive.
3-5 major tasks and 1-2 minor tasks are enough.
This prevents burnout and keeps you motivated.

7. Review your list at the end of the day.

Look back at completed tasks.
Celebrate the wins.
Analyze what was missed.
This makes the next day's list better.

Learn self-compassion

Demand, exploit, force yourself to do things through “I can’t” - please. We know how and practice. But allowing yourself to experience different feelings and states, which are not always easy and pleasant, is not. Meanwhile, by accepting our emotions, we reduce stress levels and increase our inner resource. And we find a person who will never let you down and never leave you.

Positivity always wins... Always!

It is very easy for us to accept the world around us in general. The world that does not concern us. And we do not take into account that the main world around us is the one with which we come into contact every day. These are the people around us (their behavior and actions, attitude towards us), the circumstances of our lives, our family, team, ourselves (our character, appearance, health, desires, etc.). All this is our real world around us. And it is precisely this that we need to accept so that Life does not give us a reason for painful thoughts.

"You read and write and sing and experience, thinking that one day these things will build the character you admire to live as. You love and lose and bleed best you can, to the extreme, hoping that one day the world will read you like the poem you want to be."

1. I’ve let go of the need to be perfect.
I am perfectly beautiful and beautifully imperfect, and this is what allows me to be me.

2. I’ve let go of the need to be busy all the time.
Being in a rush isn’t a sign of virtue. I have learned to listen to my body, and I no longer feel guilty for doing nothing. I know I sometimes need to recharge the batteries of my body and soul, and I don’t feel like I owe anyone any explanation for doing that.

3. I’ve let go of self-criticism.
I pay attention to my inner talk; I don’t call myself names, and I treat myself with dignity and respect. I stopped telling myself things I would never tell a good friend. I am enough, whole, and complete.

4. I’ve let go of blaming.
I now know that each time I blame someone else, I am making myself a victim. Blaming others for taking my time, my money, or my love is unfair, because I always choose how much I give and to whom. No one can hurt me or upset me without my conscious (and often unconscious) consent.

5. I’ve let go of judging.
I know that everyone is on their own journey, and my job is to focus on my own. I also know that each time I am judgmental with people, I’m reacting to something that bothers me about myself. If I believe you are mean, it means I can also be mean; how could I see that in you, otherwise?

27/10/2022

6. I’ve let go of making assumptions about what other people feel, want, or think.
I am not them, so there’s no way to know what they’re feeling and thinking.

I stopped making up imaginary scenarios and letting my mind play with me. Each time I find myself disturbed by what people do or say, I know it’s time for a reality check.

7. I’ve let go of competing with others.
I now know that my need to fight is nothing but my ego’s scream for self-validation. I don’t need anyone to lose any game so that I can feel good about myself. I love harmony, collaboration, and win-wins.

8. I’ve let go of chasing happiness.
I no longer project my happiness into an imaginary future, hoping that someday, when I have that job, that house, that car, that success, I will be happy. I have learned to find happiness in the small pleasures of life, and I embrace the only reality that is, the present moment, with gratitude and much joy.

I stopped waiting for the weekends to feel like living because each day is a gift and every single moment is precious and equally important.

9. I’ve let go of worrying about the future.
I accept that there are things in life that I cannot control, no matter how hard I might try. Each time I find myself worrying, I keep telling myself “Time will tell.”

I might not always get what I want, but I know I always get what I need. I trust the flow of life, and choose to believe we live in an intelligent universe, where everything unfolds perfectly. Sometimes in life, even the time needs time.

10. I’ve let go of pleasing others.
I no longer seek external validation so that I can feel liked or accepted. Worrying about what others think is a waste of time. Other people’s opinion of me is all about them and what they see in me, filtered through their lenses; it has zero to do with me.

I’ve stopped expecting others to give me what I wasn’t giving myself: love, care, and attention. Loving myself as a whole—body, mind, and soul—is not selfish. I keep my cup full of self-love, and I take good care of my needs and my heart’s desires.

Where FOCUS goes, energy flows!

Remember, what we FEEL is a result of what we’re choosing to FOCUS on.

Most people focus on how to avoid pain in the short-term. If we want to push our life to the next level and experience fulfillment and true quality of life we need to be laser-focused on our ultimate vision and our sense of mission who we want to be, and how we can serve, and contribute.

Focusing on that highest vision helps create energy and momentum. We can kick feelings of frustration or depression by changing the channel of our attention to how to help someone in need.

It all begins with what you CHOOSE to FOCUS ON.

🌤 We live each day without even realizing how lucky we truly are. Everyday we wake up and take everything for granted, but what happens when a glitch is put into our lives? What happens when something has altered our lives forever? How do we deal with it? How do we manage, and get back to a normal life? Are we forever damaged because of this? Are our lives forever changed? How do we regain some normalcy back in our lives? Whenever our lives are turned upside down, we feel like our lives are ending. We manage to stay afloat, but barely. We look for solutions everywhere. We look for anything to make the pain stop. We hold onto whatever we can in that moment. It's hard to cope with some changes, especially changes that forever alter our lives. The only answer I can give you honestly is, just hang in there. At that moment it seems like the world ended, but in time things change and get easier. Just remember nothing in life is forever. At any moment everything can be taken away from you. So we have to love each day like it's our last. Show love to everyone like it's the last time you'll see them, and be prepared for anything at anytime. Like that old saying says Carpe Diem. 🌤

Once a Zen master was teaching the art of gardening to the king of Japan. After three years of teaching he said, "Now I will come and see your garden -- that will be the examination of what you have done in these three years." And he told him before that "Whatsoever you are learning go on practising in your palace garden, any day I may come."

The king had prepared the garden and he was waiting for that great day; he rejoiced that the day had come. For those three years he had used nearly one thousand gardeners to implement everything in the minutest detail. And for that whole day and night -- because tomorrow morning the master would be there -- the garden was cleaned, everything was put exactly right, as it should be, no error, no mistake...

The master came. The king was very happy because whatsoever the master had said had been absolutely fulfilled; it was impossible to find any fault. But the master looked at the garden and became very serious -- which was not natural to the master. He was a man of laughter. He became sad.

As they moved into the garden he became more and more serious and the king started feeling a little trembling inside: Was he going to fail? What had gone wrong? The silence of the master was too heavy. Finally the king asked, "What is the matter? I have never seen you so serious. I was thinking you would be immensely happy that your disciple had worked hard."

The master said, "Everything is right but where are the golden leaves? I don't see any dead leaves, yellow leaves fluttering in the wind. Without that the garden looks dead; there is no song, no dance. Without that the garden looks very artificial.

The king had removed all the dead leaves, not only from the ground but even from the plants and trees. He had never thought of it, that death is also part of life, that it is not its opposite but its complementary, that without it there would be no life. And certainly the master was right: Yes, the garden was beautiful, but it looked as if it were a painting, not alive.

The master said, "The golden wind is missing. Where is Ummon's golden wind? Bring the golden wind!" The master took a bucket and went out of the garden, outside the gate to where all the leaves have been thrown. He collected the leaves in the bucket, came back and threw the leaves on the path. Suddenly the wind started blowing them here and there, and there was noise and there was music, and there was dance. The master said, "Now there is life! The wind is golden again."

This is Ummon's golden wind: when all thoughts fall down from your mind and your consciousness stands absolutely bare and naked.

Deep down near your roots the wind is blowing and all your thoughts are fluttering far away from you, no more part of you. They still remain there, they don't go anywhere, but they are no more part of you. You have transcended; you are standing above them, a watcher on the hills.
That's what meditation is.
