Life's Little Lists http://123littlelistsoflife.blogspot.com/ A communal blog of life's little lists. Submit a list at L Being a law student, I like to write. It's a total win-win!

In an effort to foster some "togetherness" across state, and, for some of you, continental, lines, Maggie and I came up with a brilliant idea (read: cliche). We decided to join our peers and do what all the 20-somethings are doing, so we made a blog. The blog was inspired by Lists of Note http://www.listsofnote.com/, a fantastic blog that chronicles a wide variety of lists from famous figures that

span the stretch of time, perspective, and topic. Maggie sent me the blog, and as I was reading it, I found myself getting lost in it. I thoroughly enjoyed it; the lists were humorous, tragic, insightful, silly and wise. The common thread amongst them, though, was that each gave an intimate look into the author's persona. Many of the lists prompted that feeling that many of you have experienced when you get a glimpse at someone's creativity and go "Man, I wanna be that person's friend!", but then I realized - I already have cool friends like that, friends whose geniuses and personalities and creativity and wisdom are bursting at the seams, friends who have something to share with each other, if not with the whole of the interwebs. Being a law student, I only get to write incredibly dry, technical, "well"-researched things. Being a law student, I have few chances to utilize any sort of creative outlet. Being a law student, my type "C" (read: Type A masquerading as Type B) personality LOVES lists. Being a law student, I don't have enough time to catch up with people that I love catching up with most. Being me, I love to procrastinate. All of these things point to this very solution: a shared blog of lists. Everything is in a nice, little order, I get to see what's on YOUR "to-do" lists and therefore keep up with your busy lives, I get to write something other than a brief/memo/judicial decision, and I get to add one more thing to my procrastination toolbox. So I said to Maggie "Hey! I love this blog. But I think we can do better..." - and that's where you all come in. Don't make me beg you to participate in this little social project. Consider it a favor, a price for friendship, a Christmas gift, whatever. But join in on the conversation! Post a list, forward the website, invite others to contribute. Be funny, be serious, be sassy, be informative, be creative, but above all, be YOU. So, without further ado, A List of Things You Should Do:
