I’ve decided to take a break from this page. I don’t know if it will be temporary or permanent. I rarely get notified of messages coming from this page, and I get more creepy men commenting on stuff than I’d like to deal with.

I’ve resurrected an old Facebook group that *MOST* of you are already in, and we will just move our party over to a more private place. We are dedicating that group to be focused on AFFORDABLE beauty. I rarely wear my hair up to work, because I just don’t feel as confident.
But I’ve always heard that if you’re having a bad hair day, to go a little “extra” with your makeup.

I’ve been seeing a lot of lighter/softer eyeshadow looks lately with bold, beautiful lashes. So I thought I’d give that a go, and wear a pretty set of false lashes for a little extra drama and distraction from my hair.

By the time I got to it, I just didn’t even want to mess with the falsies. So I grabbed my Zen mascara. I’m still SHOCKED that a mascara that’s UNDER 💲9️⃣ can deliver this sort of drama with my lashes.

I know a couple days ago I got on here so excited over how clear my face was. Then hormones decided to kick me in the face, literally. 😂😂😂

I woke up to some friendly neighborhood breakouts, and some extra redness.

So today, I’m thankful for my Calendula face cream which helps my breakouts heal faster than anything I’ve ever used, and my CC cream to give me the color correction I need without extra layers or weight. 🙌🏼

Listen. DID YOU KNOW about love bugs?!?!

I moved to Florida expecting spicy animals - alligators, snakes, whatever other random reptile Florida harbors.

I willingly stay out of water. Not only can I not swim, but I figured that allows me to avoid probably 90% of the spicy animals.

BUGS.
I‘m a country girl. I can deal with bugs. Skeeters, no big deal. Wasps, ants, whatever. Don’t care. Just stay out of my house, and I’ll leave them alone outside.

I WAS NOT PREPARED for these creatures. I had no idea a love bug was even a real thing. They just fly around, stuck together like this. They don’t care about your face. They don’t care about your car, your drinks, they don’t care about nothing.

Apparently they were MADE here in Florida, so I’m told, to help with the mosquito population, and have become their own nuisance.

Can we just make a deal, Florida? There are enough bugs and spicy animals… let’s not go creating a single one more. 😂😂😂😂

❣️ RAW POST AHEAD ❣️

The makeup on the left propelled my love for makeup. Never in my life had I found a makeup that I could actually apply. I loved it.

That love slowly faded, and I felt as if I’d lost my best friend. I began feeling sticky, shiny (rather than dewy), and my makeup just refused to last all day. My contour began to wear very splotchy, and often times left me looking somewhat “dirty”.

I began to blame myself, and my skin issues (which I’ve been very honest with you about), as the culprit. I began searching high and low for good powders, application techniques, and the root of ”what had changed”. I changed my skincare (a very expensive feat) and still, nothing helped my makeup to be the same as it had been.

After weeks & months of this endless frustration, I began noticing that it wasn’t just me. My customers (who I love dearly) began experiencing the same issues. I was so upset at not knowing how to help them, because that’s what you all trusted me with in the first place. The problem I was experiencing became a hot topic in the makeup community as well.

I sweet girl on Instagram introduced me to Farmasi. A company I, myself, even spoke negatively of, and was skeptical. I made the decision to order TONS of samples for myself, and was absolutely AMAZED at the quality and finished look of my makeup.

I made the decision to become a Farmasi Influencer, because I truly do love helping you all with your makeup, and took a bit of a break from promoting anything at all. I tried everything I could, and truly loved everything. Well.. not their eyebrow pencil, but that’s another story. 😂 Y’all know my eyebrow dilemmas.

For the first time in a VERY long time, I feel truly CONFINDENT, I feel EQUIPPED, I feel SEEN, I feel UNDERSTOOD, I feel VALIDATED, and I feel deeply CONTENT with my makeup.

I debated long (obviously months) and hard about how/when/if I would ever share this, and I felt as though you all deserve the full transparency of my switch. Please understand that I intentionally did not name the makeup, nor the company, as I do still believe the product is great for those it works for… it just stopped working for me, and many of those I care about. In that, I cannot continue with something that I cannot say in full confidence, is inclusive to all skintypes, needs, and preferences.

This photo on the left popped up in my memories a couple days ago, from 2016, and I laughed.

Not at the horrendous eyebrows, or at the way my makeup knowledge and skill has progressed…

6 years ago I had just changed careers, moved to a brand new city, and bought a brand new house. I’d signed up for a 30 year mortgage, had two car payments, a hellacious commute to a job that was unfulfilling and was just rolling with the motions of life. Honestly, I was scared to death.

A little over a month ago, I walked away from a career that I thought was it for me, I sold my house that still had 24 more years of mortgage payments left, and moved (with only one car & payment) with my dog & best friend (husband) to a brand new city we picked on a map, started a brand new (easy) job, and paid cash for a house on 5 acres.

Get rid of the unfulfilling job, get rid of the all consuming job, ditch the mortgage, the city life, the hellacious commute. Buy a piece of land, find a job that allows you to LIVE, and create a beautiful life.

I will tell you, without network marketing, I would have never had the courage to do any of this. I would have never had the courage to blow up my life and start over. I would have never had the courage to take a pay cut from my job, and know I‘d still be ok.

It’s ok to start over. It’s ok to make changes. It’s NEVER ok to convince yourself that your stuck in your current situation. Make a change.

👏🏼 ZOOM IN, DO IT 👏🏼

I would have NEVERRRR dreamed of telling someone to zoom in on my bare, unedited skin.

In January I’d HAD IT with my skin. I had to do something different. I switched up my skincare routine, and did notice some improvements in the texture of my skin, but the breakouts were so persistent. I gave it an entire month, and still didn’t have the results I wanted.

On February 22 (my birthday) I made the switch to Farmasi. After 2 months of Farmasi skincare, foundation that’s GOOD FOR MY SKIN, and collagen, my skin has never looked better in my entire life.

Y’all have heard me say before that my pores are the size of Atlanta potholes, and saw me apply my makeup differently around my nose to hide my giant pores. I no longer have to do that! 😭😭

I cannot express to you how bad I wish I’d found all of this sooner. ♥️

Scrolling through reels a few days ago, I heard an audio that has stuck with me. It basically said people need to reevaluate what success is. Success isn’t making millions of dollars, it’s waking up in a good mood. It really struck a cord and has stuck with me.

A little over a month ago, I left a profession that I thought I would retire from. I left a profession that because a lifestyle, and then an obsession, and then all encompassing.

I took a job that’s just that… a job. I leave work at work. I have an “off switch”. Work doesn’t creep into ever ounce of my existence.

I sold the first home I ever “owned”, a home that was more than we ever needed. A home that I would inevitably work well into my late 50’s to pay off. A home that really wasn’t mine, but was mine and the banks. I sold that home, paid off the bank (that truly owned more of the home than I did).

We CHOSE to buy a piece of land. We CHOSE to pay cash for 5 acres and a manufactured home. We are CHOOSING to renovate & make this home something we love, rather than ever finance another home.

Success isn’t measured by working yourself to death. It’s not measured by having a house that you’ll work all of your “living years” to pay off. It’s not about buying more, financing more, “putting it on the credit card”, or sacrificing your young years working to enjoy your retirement years… the years where things begin to hurt and slow down.

The time to enjoy your life is now. The time to live is NOW. Experiences and TRULY LIVING will always outweigh buying more stuff, and living to work.

Work to live, and enjoy the little things. Reevaluate what success means, and start living accordingly. ♥️

Here’s your Sunday reminder to drink your water & take care of your skin. If you’re struggling with your skincare, you don’t have to struggle alone. Let’s have a conversation. ❤️

Skincare wasn’t something I always felt comfortable in. I have a friend (who is a skincare freak) who has had many conversations with me figuring out what works and what doesn’t with my skin.

I’ve learned that my skin is extremely sensitive, and what I thought was just horribly dry skin was actually a damaged skin barrier. BURNING IS NOT GOOD OR NORMAL.

A skincare routine for me includes simple steps with gentle but effective products. Skincare is not an overnight solution. It requires some dedication and some communication between you and your skin.

I’ve fallen in love with the Aqua Restoring Gel Cleanser & the Calendula Face Cream. My skin has never been so soft and bright.

Collagen & healthy ingredients in my foundation don’t hurt either. 😉😘

I’m still amazed every single day at how beautifully this makeup wears. My blemishes stay concealed, my contour stays in place, and the color match is ON POINT. 😍🥲🙌🏼 it just makes me so dang happy.

PS- Time Locker setting spray is SO DANG GOOD. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 coming from someone who is NOT a fan of setting sprays.

*please note the slight variation in color is due to ring light this morning vs natural light this afternoon. This is why it’s SO important to take your selfies in natural light. 😍😍😍😍😍
