Ashenda 2025✨ is on the horizon, and it’s time to let our survivors dazzle and shine! This lively celebration in Tigray and beyond pays tribute to the strength, beauty, and unstoppable spirit of women and girls. In a post-war world, Ashenda is more than just fun—it’s a badge of resilience.

🎁 For a mere 6,000 ETB ($40), you can be a hero by sponsoring a made-to-measure Ashenda dress for a GBV survivor. If you’re in Mekele, Tigray, consider donating a gently loved dress.

👗 Dresses will be crafted by local tailoring graduates from Women Empowerment programs, offering support to women in more ways than one.

Hey Uprooted Fam 👋🏾 we are officially back in business starting podcast interviews again!!! Could not be more excited to bring our first in person event in Tigray at our favorite place this Saturday 🥳

We’ve been listening and hearing that the diaspora wants to get to learn more about life in Tigray, while deki adey want to explore living outside. The questions have been brought up so much that we want to host these sessions as an opportunity to bridge the gap and reconnect our people to one another.
