The healing of Ancestral trauma can only be done through the acknowledging & confronting of our People’s’ historical trauma, including the privileges & perversions. .

Martial Law in the Philippines. .
ANCESTRAL TRAUMA is formed on the caked blood on the backs of Black, Brown & Indigenous Peoples pain. .

Historical Trauma is a construct used to describe the impact of genocide, colonization, historical oppression, and cultural suppression of Indigenous peoples. .

The Middle Passage..
Salvadoran Civil War. .
British Colonization across India. .
Atrocities in the Congo Free State .
The Great Purge. .

The intergenerational transmission process of trauma is the physical and physiological transfer of trauma from one generation of survivors into the next. It can and does effect communities. Families. Relationships. And an entire race of People. .
•
When discussing Ancestral trauma we are discussing COLONIZATION & all of the structural violence that is wrapped around it. .
•
Ancestral Trauma is not just about “moving on.” It beckons for us to remember. Relearn. Grieve. Rage. Allow. Create. Own. Rest. Acknowledge the Land. .
•
Ancestral Trauma can not be “Caucafied” unless we want to continue to disrespect the Indigenous Peoples whose land we rest on. .
•
Ancestral healing cannot be taught. It cannot be packed & served with our psych classes. It WILL only be Experienced, Received & Felt. WE FEEL, because THEY COULD NOT..
