Sebagai warga Semenanjung Malaysia, saya memandang Sabah dan Sarawak bukan tempat yang indah untuk meneruskan kerjaya.
Bukan tempat yang praktikal untuk merancang hidup berkeluarga.
Bukan tempat yang ideal untuk membesarkan anak-anak pada usia persekolahan.
Bukan tempat yang berbaloi untuk merasai hidup mencabar, tetapi terpaksa merisikokan kesihatan mental dan emosi.
Let us all be honest. Setelah 60 tahun Sabah dan Sarawak join Malaysia, bandingkan apa aje yang ada kat dua negeri tu berbanding Semenanjung Malaysia.
Dengan sebegitu besar keluasan geografi, sebegitu ramai rakyat jelata, sebegitu banyak hasil mahsul bumi, alam dan laut, malangnya Sabah dan Sarawak masih kekal jauh ketinggalan. Sangat jauh ketinggalan.
Sebab tu kalau nak "hukum" kakitangan awam Semenanjung Malaysia, hantarlah diorang ke Sabah atau Sarawak. It's an open secret. Polis ke, doktor ke, cikgu ke, etc. Faham-faham sajalah bila dihantar bertugas ke sana secara "paksa-rela".
60 tahun selepas merdeka bersama Malaysia, Sabah dan Sarawak masih belum berjaya hasilkan rakyat negeri sendiri yang boleh mengisi pekerjaan di negeri sendiri. Still terpaksa bergantung dengan rakyat Semenanjung Malaysia untuk berkhidmat di sana.
So berhentilah gebang pasal ugutan nak keluar dari Malaysia. Entah macam mana Sabah dan Sarawak nak survive. Ada banyak resources, tapi tak ramai rakyat yang berkualiti, memang susahlah nak maju dan berdikari.
