In a tragic incident, at least seven peoples died and several others injured in a road mishap that took place in the Jalukbari area of Guwahati on Sunday at last night.

As per the sources on social media the accident took place after the driver of the Scorpio on which they were travelling lost control and hit a divider before hitting a DI pickup truck which was parked on the Jalukbari flyover road.

As per sources, the deceased were students at Assam Engineering College (AEC).

The deceased students who have been lost their lives in the accident are, Arindam Bhowal and Niyor Deka from Guwahati, Kaushik Mohan from Sivasagar, Upangshu Sarmah from Nagaon, Raj Kiran Bhuyan from Majuli, Emon Baura from Dibrugarh, Kaushik Barush from Mangaldoi.

RBI has stopped the uses of 2000 note.

You have to exchange your 2000 note from May 23 to Sept 30 at any bank. But you can exchange only 10 notes at a time.

The 2000 note was introduced in Nov. 2016 under Section 24(1) of The RBI Act, 1934, after the legal tender status of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes was withdrawn.

One person (Anthony Ronghang) dies of cardiac arrest in Torte Apam, Jengkha West Karbi Anglong, Assam. His brother stated that he has drank a Sting Cold drink. And suddenly he fall down on the ground with an unconscious.

Later, he was taken to nearby Hospital for treatment. But, unfortunately Doctor declare him dead.
