Amidst the pandemic, MAGSUWAT 2.0 prevails!🤩

Yes you read it right! The wait is finally over for the Magsuwat 2.0 Journalism Competition with the theme, “Red Cross Youth in the Digital Age: Fostering Transparency and Voluntary Service through Journalism.”🖋

A year or so ago, Red Cross Youth Bohol launched its official publication, Ang Handumanan, which began with an online journalism competition called Magsuwat. This 2021, the team lays the groundwork for new journalists who value honor and integrity, as well as the passion for humanitarian causes.

Not a Red Cross Youth Volunteer? Don’t worry, because the competition is open to all Boholano volunteers and non-volunteers between the ages of 15 to 21. Categories include News Writing, Feature Writing, Copyreading, Editorial Writing, Editorial Cartooning, Photojournalism, and Layout Editing, all in the English medium.

You’ve seen the code, now get ready to be part of the board! Registration links for each category are provided in the descriptions below.👇

Registration ends on AUGUST 25, 2021 at 11:59 PM. The contest details will be sent after the registration period has ended.

The chosen participants will become part of Ang Handumanan’s publication staff, and the winning articles from the three writing contests (News, Editorial, and Feature) will be published in the third issue of Ang Handumanan.👏
