Chengdu Overseas Tourism Station Lands in Malaysia🐼🧧🇲🇾
On December 28th, the Malaysia Tourism Station ceremony was held at Golden Destinations, a tourism company located in Kuala Lumpur. Subsequently, the city's overseas station will rely on the mature and comprehensive cultural and tourism resources of local travel agencies.
Through localized marketing and promotion, it will continue to carry out small-scale roadshows, city scene exhibitions, and other Chengdu cultural and tourism promotion activities locally. The Chengdu Overseas Tourism Station will open an important window for the Malaysian people to connect with Chengdu's cultural and tourism resources, providing precise, differentiated, and localized high-quality cultural and tourism promotion services for overseas target customers, inviting more Malaysian tourists to explore Chengdu.
The unilateral visa waiver policy, implemented by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on December 1 for six countries, including France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Malaysia, has had a positive impact on the continuous increase in tourism orders from Malaysia to Chengdu. To leverage the benefits of the "Six countries visa-free" policy and actively expand Chengdu's market for inbound tourists, this promotional event specifically targets Southeast Asia. This region is home to a significant overseas Chinese population with a deep appreciation for Chinese culture, traditions, and cherished elements such as giant pandas, snowy mountains, and the Chinese New Year.
The campaign focuses on promoting travel routes and products under the theme "Happy Spring Festival & Enjoy Chengdu's Lifestyle – Celebrate the New Year with Snow Mountains and Pandas." The primary objective is to cater to the preferences of the Southeast Asian inbound tourist market.
At the same time, delegations from the promotional event also down to Kuala Lumpur community, chatted with locals about the "Chengdu Travel Tips", recommended the tourist attractions in Chengdu on the spot, and sent gifts from thousands of miles away. Holding a naive Giant Panda, a culture creative gift from Chengdu, the locals curiously asked the on-site staff about visa-free travel strategies in Chengdu.
