How often should I post?

Long answer: There is no magical number. At the core of it, social media is about becoming and then staying at the top of your audience's mind. Which often means staying at the top of their feed. Think about it as a relationship. If you see or talk to a friend once a week, your friendship probably is not as strong as it would be if it was every day. If you post 1 time a week, your audience only has a single chance to “see” you once a week. If you post every day, you have 7 opportunities to be seen.

Then, there is also the factor of quality. If you have 1 great conversation that would have a lot bigger impact than 7 non-meaningful conversations. To that point, quality only has an impact if you’re getting in front of your audience in the first place.

(quality) x (quanity) = (audience).

So to answer the question: without sacrificing quality, get in front of your audience as much as you possibly can.

Should I focus more on video or photo content?

Simple answer: Video performs much better, but whatever you can consistently do well.

Longer answer: According to Forbes, video content performs on average 12 times better than both photo and text content COMBINED. This means for the top brands one good video is worth twelve simple photos. That being said, video is much harder and takes much more time and effort to do well as opposed to video.

Our recommendation is to do whatever you can consistently commit to while maintaining your brand's online integrity. If you are confident in your ability to create video content, then find a comfortable balance between photo and video. You probably don’t have enough time to do 20 good videos a month but you may be able to do 8 videos and 12 photos a month.

We keep it simple with TWO services:

Content - We work alongside your current social media manager, on a monthly basis, to create a custom content plan for your business. We then plan a day for one of our team members to come out and shoot all the planned photo and video content for the month. Finally, we deliver all content ready to post along with a posting calendar that was created with your content plan.

Management - Our team handles all organic aspects of your social media. We handle all content creation in addition to caption creation, posting, daily interaction, analytics, strategy, and everything else that running a business’s social media entails.
