Here's an interview of journalist Farhan Yahiya who recorded Ragini Tiwari pelting stones and provoking the mobs against the Muslim community and anti-CAA protestors. While the Delhi police has slapped UAPA against activists like Umar Khalid, it is yet to be seen how the police responds to Ragini Tiwari and Kapil Mishra. The Government released the GDP numbers yesterday and India saw its GDP contracting by a whooping 23.9% in the April-July Quarter.
The sharp contraction in GDP numbers is mainly due to closure of business activity during the quarter owing to nationwide lockdowns to curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus. While the dip in GDP was expected but it was worse than what was expected by most analysis.To put things into perspective this was the sharpest contraction since 1996 for quarterly figures.

As a result of this unprecedented collapse in economy, 1.89 crore salaried Indians lost their jobs according to the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE).While the Modi government claims that this crash is an act of God, opposition leader Rahul Gandhi sees it to be a result of series of huge economic blunders of the Modi government. Demonetization and poor GST implementation destabilized the economy. The unplanned lockdown was the final nail in the coffin of the Indian economy.
