Like many people this year I started to use Zoom a LOT and it was frustrating to me that the video quality from my state-of-the-art 2019 MacBook Pro was worse than terrible.

Grainy, pixelated... rubbish.

I looked around for a solution. What if I could connect my iPhone camera – as I knew the camera in that phone was great quality but Apple didn’t make this an easy option.

Cut to summer 2020 when I needed better quality cameras for remotely directing people on the other end.

Like a shining light I searched and discovered an app called Camo, just released. It changed the game.

Fully controllable from the desktop app – it makes your phone into an awesome we**am.

Aidan Fitzpatrick’s frustration was similar - he couldn’t see his remote team clearly online.

But he was a tech entrepreneur with an award-winning business () under his belt.

His solution was to create an app to fix the problem – simple when you know how, right?

Enter stage left... the we**am app to end all we**am apps, Camo. The rest as they say is future history.

🎧 Click the link to listen to our chat about how he became an accidental entrepreneur and grew a $1m company in 18 months.

‘When we see something that's raw and real, like someone on their phone, on an Instagram Live or doing Stories or something like that – those can be just as effective as paying a videographer thousands of dollars to shoot a video for you.’
-
It’s hard to promote this idea when you’re in the video production game, but it’s a simple fact as says – tech has enabled anyone to shoot video, from anywhere.
-
Are we in danger of people overload in the next few years with everyone jumping in front of the lens? We’ll see.
