UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) is launching five GR-branded cars, including the Toyota GR Corolla, a hot hatch with impressive performance. While the Corolla badge may not be associated with high-performance vehicles, the GR Corolla has a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine with 300 PS and 370 Nm of torque, capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds and reaching a top speed of 230 km/h. The car is priced at RM355,000 and features a six-speed manual transmission, GR-Four all-wheel-drive system, and a Torsen limited-slip differential. The GR Corolla is based on the Corolla five-door hatchback, with added features such as widened fender flares, a carbon fiber roof, and functional bonnet vents.
