Talent, confidence, and unwavering advocacy were on full display at the Mx. DCC pageant last October 18, 2024, which took place at the Mayor's Action Center, as contestants championed their colorful community.

On October 17, 2024, the DHVSU Candaba Campus celebrated its 4th founding anniversary with a vibrant Color Fun Run from Boracandaba to MAC, which filled the morning with color and laughter followed by a vibrant Zumba session led by the DCC Student Council, everyone embraced a spirited performance of unity and pride!

A meaningful celebration of beauty and advocacy has been witnessed by the crowds as the Mr. and Ms. DCC 2024 took the center stage with fierce and grace last October 18, 2024 as part of the milestone festivities of the 4th Founding Anniversary of Don Honorio Ventura State University–Candaba Campus. Contenders showcased the significance of school spirit and sportsmanship as they shine exceptionally in each portion of the competition.

𝗢𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗢𝗡| "𝗣𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘀"

Karamihan ay nagnanais na mapabuti ang kanilang kalagayan sa tulong ng mga politikong inaasahan na magiging kaagapay at katuwang sa mga bagong layunin na kanilang isinusulong para sa mga nasasakupan.

Ngunit paano nga ba masisiguradong tama ang kamay na kakapitan? pader na sasandalan? at higit sa lahat taong pinagkatiwalaan? Kung mas marami pang mga dokumento ang kinakailangan ng isang simpleng indibidwal sa pag a-apply nito sa trabaho. Kaysa ang mga indibidwal na naghain ng kanilang kandidatura upang makaupo o maging kaisa at bahagi sa 'di matinag-tinag na tatsulok.

Kamakailan lamang ay naging usap-usapan ang paghahain ng mga kandidatura ng mga nagnanais na tumakbo sa iba't ibang posisyon sa Pilipinas sa darating na Halalan sa taong 2025. Kasabay ng pag-apila ng kanilang mga kandidatura ay hindi rin naiwasang pag-usapan ang mga naging kwalipikasyon ng isang nag-aasam na kandidato sa Pilipinas. Sapat nga ba na maalam lang sa pagsusulat at pagbabasa? Ganito lamang ba ang pamantayan para maupo sa pwesto? At higit sa lahat, sapat din ba na nasa hustong edad at residente ng bansa para tumakbo sa naturang posisyon? Marunong at bihasa sa pagkatha ng batas ang tunay na kailangan, maisasantabi na nga lang ba ito?

Ayon sa pahayag ng Chairman ng COMELEC na si George Garcia na lahat nang Pilipinong nakarehistro sa kani-kanilang barangay ay puwedeng tumakbo sa kahit anong puwesto. Basta kuwalipikado sa mga requirement na nakasaad sa election code. Pahayag na tila ba nag-udyok sa nakararami na maghain ng kandidatura kaya naging ganoon na lamang ang naging kasalukuyang sitwasyon.

Naging mainit rin na usapin ang paghahain ng kandidatura ng ilan sa mga sikat na Social Media Influencers na nagnanais pasukin ang mundo ng politika. Ang mga motibo ay tila ba napakababaw. Maaaring tumulong nang hindi pinapasok ang politika. Maaaring maghatid ng serbisyong totoo at may malasakit nang hindi dinadamay ang politika. Kaya naman dahil dito ay marami tuloy ang napapataas ang kilay kung talaga bang sapat ang mga dokumento na kinakailangan na nakasaad sa election code upang maging kwalipikado para sa isang posisyon kung mas mataas pa ang kwalipikasyon ng mga hinahanap sa trabaho kaysa sa mga naghain ng kanilang kandidatura upang tumakbo sa para sa isang posisyon.

Hindi sapat na marunong lamang magsulat at magbasa bilang kwalipikasyon para pasukin ang mundo ng politika. Ang tunay na kailangan ng taumbayan ay may kakayahan at may alam sa paggawa ng batas. Hindi iyong nagnanais na pasukin ang politika upang ipangalandakan na gustong tumulong sa mga mamamayang nangangailangan. Hindi batayan ang mabangong pangalan upang boto ng taumbayan ay maging sigurado. Ang pagkakaroon ng sapat na kaalaman sa batas ang magpapatunay na kandidato ay kwalipikado. Kailangan ng mga mamamayang Pilipino ng boses na maninindigan, taong maaasahan sa panahong tila'y buhay palaging nasa laylayan at higit sa lahat kailangan ng tunay na pagbabago.

Kaya gumising na mula sa mahimbing na pagkakatulog, pagkakataon na para manindigan sa totoong pinaglalaban. Matibay na dokumento ang kailangan, hindi ang mabangong komento ng karamihan sa pangalang sikat dahil kilala ng taumbayan.

Hindi magkamayaw ang bawat pangkat sa isinagawang tagisan ng talino na nilahukan ng 43 na grupo ng mga mag-aaral mula DCC na ginanap kahapon, ika-17 ng umaga sa Don Honorio Ventura State University - Candaba Campus.

Talino at husay ang ginamit ng pagkat ng BEEd 1A na nagkamit ng unang pwesto habang nakuha naman ng pangkat mula CEA 2A ang ikalawang pwesto para sa kategoryang pampangkat.

Samantala, sa indibidwal na kategorya ay itinanghal na kampyeon si Dave Pangan mula sa BSAR 4A. Nakamit naman ni Laurence Joy Lapuz mula sa BSBA 2B ang unang pwesto at pumangalawa naman si Leslie Lucas ng BSCE 2A.

Ang naturang programa ay pinangunahan nina Bb. Cherry Ann Fabillaran at G. Clarence Cunanan kasama ng Advocates for Building Competence (ABC). Habang naging tagapagdaloy ng patimpalak naman sina G. John Dave Roque, Bb. Nelissa Tecson, at G. Jayson Manalastas.

Nakamit ng College of Education ang unang pwesto sa debate na kinabibilangan nina Nilo Cunanan, Ed Limuel Timbang, Aira Mesina, at Justine Magpayo. Ginanap ang naturang aktibidad sa Mayor's Action Center nitong ika-17 ng Oktubre (2024).

Nagpalitan ng kaniya-kaniyang mga ideya, saloobin, at opinyon ang bawat kalahok sa naturang programa. Samantala, nasungkit naman ng mga College of Engineering and Architecture ang ikalawang pwesto habang nakamit naman ng College of Computing Studies ang ikatlong pwesto.

Candaba, Pampanga– The highly anticipated clash of wit, talent, and grace have witnessed as the Don Honorio Ventura State University - Candaba Campus, unfolds the prestigious search for Mr. and Ms. DCC 2024 as part of the 4th Founding Anniversary celebration with the theme, "Transformation: Soaring Beyond Boundaries Achieving Success with Honorian Ravens" held last October 18, 2024, at the Mayor's Action Center covered court.

The program commenced with a solemn prayer led by the DCCSC Vice Governor, John Alszay Marin, setting the tone for a day filled with pride and enthusiasm, followed by an inspiring message delivered by the Campus Director, Mrs. Rowena M. Twaño. Each candidate gave their best performance in hopes of securing the most coveted crown.

During the intense clash among the contenders and a dazzling display of talent across various categories, Gerald Suba David, a contender from Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English, and Donita Jen Culala, from the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, emerged victorious among the candidates as they were crowned as the new Mr. and Ms. DCC 2024.

Meanwhile, various contestants have successfully claimed their spots, as they showcased their exceptional talents and efforts, namely:

Mr. Adrian Pamintuan (BSEd-Fil)
Ms. Alyssa Ramil (BSBA- MKTG)

• 2nd Runner Up:
Mr. John Raven Guiao (BSAr)

The event has successfully concluded as the supporters erupted in celebration, proud of their candidate's achievements and winning moment. Furthermore, the competition aims to celebrate diversity, talent, and dedication while embodying the Honorian pride and spirit.

Bahagi ng pagdiriwang para sa Ika-apat na Taong Anibersaryo ng DHVSU-Candaba Campus, ginanap sa Mayors Action Center, Candaba Pampanga noong ika-17 ng Oktubre ang paglisahang Poster Making na sinalihan ng Honorian Ravens.

Pinangunahan ng Young Entreprenuership Society (YES) ang patimpalak kung saan nagpakita ng husay sa sining ng pagguhit. Itinanghal na nanakuha ng unang puwesto ang guhit maestro ni Lally Beso (BSIT 1B) na nakakuha ng 96.75 na puntos. Sinundan naman ito ni Jhoselito Fabian ng BSCE 4A na may 87.75 na puntos at si Genesis Basilio BSEd English 1A na may puntos na 84.25.

Matagumpay na naisagawa ang paligsahan sa Pagsulat ng Sanaysay na nilahukan ng mga mag-aaral mula sa iba't ibang departamento ng DHVSU-Candaba Campus na ginanap sa Mayor's Action Center nitong ika-17 ng Oktubre (2024).

Nagpakita ng natatanging husay ang mga kalahok ngunit sa nangibabaw ang galing ng mag-aaral na si Danielle Lansangan (BSAR 2A) na nakakuha ng unang pwesto sa nasabing paligsahan. Samantala, kinilala namang ikalawang puwesto si David Angelo Bairan (BSCE 3A) habang nasa ika-tatlong puwesto naman ang mag-aaral na si Bernie Victorio (BSCE 3A).

Ang patimpalak na ito ay bahagi ng pagdiriwang sa Ika-apat na Taong Anibersaryo ng nasabing paaralan na may temang “Transformation: Soaring Beyond Boundaries, Achieving Success Witg Honorian Ravens”.

Nangibabaw ang tinig ni Clarence Cunanan mula sa BSEd Filipino 3A na nakakuha ng unang pwesto sa husay na ipinakita nito patungkol sa mga maling impormaryong kumakalat sa sosyal midya. Samantala, nakakuha ng pangalawang puwesto si Aira Messina ng BEEd at ikatlong pwesto naman si Jerome Reyes ng BSIT.

Eight dazzling partners emerged from various colleges/departments to create this momentous event which promises a glamour, talent, and community spirit.

Students from various colleges and departments have gathered at the Mayor's Action Center covered court along with their waving banners, balloons, and drums to show support to their respective candidates. The crowd is buzzing with excitement and deafening cheers as the contestants prepare to compete with confidence and grace.

This event aims to build a strong sense of community among Honorians and create a welcoming environment for all while embodying the school camaraderie and unity.

Who will bring home the most coveted crown and title?

Honorian Ravens, stay up and let us witness the much awaited parade of beauty among these stunning and hunky contenders!

Candaba, Pampanga— Don Honorio Ventura State University–Candaba Campus proudly marks its 4th Founding Anniversary yesterday, October 17, 2024, with the theme "Transformation: Soaring Beyond Boundaries, Achieving Success with Honorian Ravens", held at the Mayor's Action Center Covered Court as everyone reflects on the growth and resilience of the campus over the years.

The event kicked off with a vibrant color fun run, followed by the opening program and a Zumba led by the University's Local Student Council as they set a tone of enthusiasm and celebration for the day where the DCC Honorian Ravens showcased their school spirit and unity.

The year's significant anniversary is particularly poignant, as it recalls the resiliency of the University during the challenging times of the pandemic. Despite the adversities, DHVSU Candaba Campus remained steadfast and found its great leap to rise, having great courage, determination, and absolute commitment to its mission.

As part of the milestone celebration, various activities and events have been planned for the studentry, fostering a sense of community and pride. The festivities will continue until today, October 18, 2024, leaving every Honorian Ravens with a renewed sense of pride and honor in their identity as Candabeños.

Nakatanggap ng sertipiko ang mga opisyal na organisasyon ng nasabing unibersidad at mga piling mag-aaral na nagpakita ng husay sa iba't ibang larangan dala ang tatak bilang DCC Honorian.

Teachers stand as mentors in a classroom filled with curiosity, teachers guide with patience, and nurture dreams with quiet encouragement .They handle the situation with care and kindness, as they teach with an open heart and with a bright smile just for, they give light.

Teachers are mentors who sow seeds in every student ,as there it will grow and shape minds and guide them until they succeed. appreciation for teachers is not just a single moment but it's a lifelong journey their influence sets in motion.

Balancing academic excellence with personal passions may seem like an elusive ideal for many students, but for the staff and Editorial Boards of LUALU under the College of Education (COE), it’s a living reality. This was showcased during their Pinning Ceremony on October 7, 2024, held at the Mayor’s Action Center, a day marked by deep pride, humility, and accomplishment.

The ceremony, which symbolized the culmination of years of dedication, radiated a strong sense of joy. Fourth-year students of the COE wore their pins with heads held high, their journey a testament to the harmonious blend of academic rigor and personal fulfillment.

It is often said that passion is the fuel of achievement, and this rang true for these student leaders. Through careful time management and steadfast commitment, they demonstrated that pursuing one's dreams doesn’t mean sacrificing academic success. On the contrary, their stories serve as powerful reminders that passion and discipline, when paired together, can elevate both the academic and personal experience.

Among those honored were 10 outstanding members of the LUALU Editorial Board, who have not only excelled in their coursework but have made notable contributions to student journalism:

Together, they have found a way to make their passion into the very image of their academic life, proving that following one’s passion need not detract from educational pursuits, but rather enhances it.

This event, like the students it honored, serves as an inspiring reminder that passion and education can coexist beautifully. For these fourth-year students, the future holds boundless possibilities—whether they continue to pursue journalism, education, or other endeavors, they have already proven that with commitment and love for their craft, they can thrive in both.

As they pinned their badges and reflected on their journey, they embodied a truth that resonates with anyone striving to balance multiple passions: success is not just about excelling in one area, but about finding joy and fulfillment in the pursuit of many.

𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | 𝐂𝐎𝐄 𝐏𝐀𝚰𝐍𝐓𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝚰𝐍 𝐁𝐋𝐔𝐄

Candaba, Pampanga— The College of Education of Don Honorio Ventura State University–Candaba Campus, holds its 2nd Pinning and Candle Lighting Ceremony for Pre-Service Teachers with the theme, " Molding Aspiring Teachers: Agents of Transformation and Growth" today, October 7, 2024, at the Mayor's Action Center covered court as the aspiring educators paints the hall in blue marking their significant milestone.

The momentous event is being organized by the faculty of the College of Education and attended by the University's administrators, proud parents, and various students from the abovementioned department.

During the ceremony, Dr. Riza B. Lintag, the College of Education Dean of DHVSU Main Campus, delivers a keynote address, inspiring the pre-service teachers with words that resonated with pride and honor. She emphasized that teaching, while challenging and selfless, remains one of the noblest professions.

Meanwhile, a total of 173 Pre-Service Teachers were pinned during the ceremony. This includes 56 newly pinned student teachers from the Bachelor of Elementary Education, 57 student teachers who emerged from the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English, and 60 from the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Filipino.

The event concluded successfully, with the newly pinned Pre-service Teachers ready to embark on their teaching journey, carrying the Honorian spirit of pride and dedication.

With the senatorial elections just around the corner, it's another time for us to make informed choices and cast our votes thoughtfully.

May we always keep in mind that every vote is powerful. Give positions to those who have the eagerness to build a better future; those who are deserving and are devoted to serve, and have the potential for effetive governance.

The future of the nation has always been in our hands, thus, let us do our thorough research and scrutinize their backgrounds so that we refrain ourselves from shading the oval of a shady.

𝗠𝗴𝗮 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗻𝗶 𝗔𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮

Kung sakaling mawala sa alaala mo ang mga gabing magkasama tayo, sa ilalim ng mga bituing unti-unting nawawala sa kalangitan, nawa ay manatili sa iyong puso ang mga salitang paulit-ulit kong binibigkas, "mahal kita," sa bawat pintig ng aking paghinga.

Ang langit ay tila naulila nang hindi mo ito muling tinanaw. May puwang na hindi maipaliwanag, hindi mapuno ng buwan kahit gaano pa ito kaliwanag. Sa bawat haplos ng hangin, may hikbing umaalingawngaw—tila sumasabay sa aking pangungulila, nagsasabing hindi lang ako ang nasasaktan sa ating pagkawala. Wala ka man sa gabing ito, para bang naririto ka pa rin—sa kislap ng mga tala, sa aninong ipinipinta ng buwan. Hindi ko na kailangan pang imulat ang aking mga mata, sapagkat kahit sa dilim, alam ko kung sino ang aking iibigin.

Bakit ba napakahirap abutin ang kasiyahan? Ganito ba talaga ang takbo ng buhay, sinta? Isang walang katapusang paghangad, isang walang tigil na pagnanasa para sa isang bagay na tila laging naglalaho sa bawat pag-abot?

Kung kasalanan man ang mangarap na sana'y nasa tabi kita ngayon, hayaan mo na akong maparusahan. Sapagkat kung ang kapalit ng lahat ng ito ay ang muli kang makasama, buong puso kong ipagpapalit ang mundo. Sa bawat gabi ng aking pagtulog, tahimik kong ipinagdarasal na ikaw ay bumalik sa aking panaginip—hawak ang iyong kamay, habang magkasama tayong maglalakbay sa pagitan ng mga ulap, sa kalawakan ng ating mga pangarap. Nais kong muling maramdaman ang init ng iyong balat, ang init na minsan ay nagpasiklab ng apoy sa aking puso. Kung kasalanan man ang umasa, ang humiling na sana'y naririto ka, lapastanganin na ako ng tadhana, sapagkat isusuko ko ang lahat, isusugal ko ang aking kaluluwa, para lamang sa isang gabing ikaw ang aking kapiling—ikaw, ang aking tala, ang aking walang hanggang liwanag, ang tanging dahilan ng bawat paghinga at bawat hapdi.

Sa bawat pagsikat ng araw, nagsisimula ito sa isang pag-aaral, isang bagong pagkakataon para sa mga g**o na mahubog ang mga isipan at puso ng mga mag-aaral.

Sa pagdiriwang ng Araw ng mga G**o mula Septyembre hanggang Oktubre, marapat na bigyang parangal ang mga g**ong nagbibigay liwanag sa ating isipan at nagsisilbing gabay sa matagumpay na kinabukasan. Ang mga g**o na hindi lamang tagapagturo, kung hindi mga gabay upang maisakatuparan ang mga mithiin sa buhay.

May iba't ibang uri ng g**o, ang bawat isa ay may sariling kulay na namamayani at nagsisilbing liwanag na nagbibigay ng inspirasyon sa mga mag-aaral.

Nariyan ang mga g**ong naging buhay na ang pagtuturo, maging sa kanilang pagtanda ay kasa-kasama ang pagiging g**o. Mabatid lamang nila ang apelyido mo, tiyak na may kakilala siya rito "Naging estudyante ko nanay mo", "anak kaba ni ganito?", "noong araw kasing husay mo rin yung kapatid mo".

Mayroon din namang huwarang g**o na, huwarang magulang pa. Dala-dala ang anak makapasok lang sa eskwela at magampanan ang tungkulin sa paaralan at sa pamilya.

Iyong g**ong mapagbiro, ay hindi rin mawawala. Tagapaghatid saya, kung kaya't ang pag-aaral ay puno ng kwela sa mga baong "jokes" nila. Ang saya hindi ba?

Present din itong g**ong ginawang "story telling" ang klase. Tila ang mga karanasan niya ang nagiging sentro ng kaniyang diskusyon. Gayunpaman, maraming mapupulot at matutunan mula sa mga aral na kaniyang naranasan na ibinabahagi sa atin upang magtagumpay din.

Maaaring ba namang mawala ang “terror” na maestra?, sa tingin pa lamang at pustura talagang tahimik ang silid kung saan naroon siya, sapagkat siguradong malalagot na, lalo na kung ‘di nakikinig sa mga aralin niya.

Para naman sa g**o na hindi malilimutan ng karamihan, maituturing itong maestrang ubod ng talino. Si teacher na tila Top 1 noong nag-aaral, memoryado at saulado lahat yata ng nakasulat sa libro.

Iba-iba man ang pag-uugali at uri ng mga g**o, ngunit iisa lang ang layunin na nais nilang matamo, ito ay maging instrumento ng pagkatuto at maging gabay sa pagtamo ng pangarap ng mga mag-aaral na nagnanais magtagumpay at matuto.

𝙉𝙀𝙒𝙎—𝟯 𝘾𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙣𝙨; 𝙈𝙍. 𝙈𝙎. 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙈𝙓. 𝘿𝘾𝘾’𝙨 𝙋𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘼𝙙𝙫𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙘𝙮 𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙩

Posing left and right with their incredibly beautiful faces, a celebration of beauty and wit has been witnessed today at the DHVSU Candaba Library as the 25 candidates vying for the three prestigious crowns of Mr., Ms., and Mx. DCC 2024 had their headshots and advocacy photoshoots.

In line with the festivities for the DCC's 4th Founding Anniversary, the university will hold its annual search for Mr. Ms. and Mx. DCC. Each contender has prepared their chosen advocacy in line with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, reflecting their dedication to meaningful causes.

Meanwhile, in an interview, Ms. Allyssa Marin, representing the BSBA Marketing, said that this pageant serves as an avenue for every candidate to express themselves, showcase their skills, and most importantly, they will also be able to carry the pride of their respective departments.

Mx. Carlo Miguel Lagata, hailing from BSED English 3rd year, said, “As a bisexual, I had a hard time showcasing the identity that I have. One of the factors that I am lacking today is having self-confidence. This means that to have a huge platform like this can help me boost my self-confidence and be who I am today. That is the reason why I joined this pageant.”

Mr. Mark Jeriell Osera from BSBA Marketing said, “Hindi naman fame ang habol mo rito. Nandito ako para sa sarili ko. To boost my self-confidence and para mas ma-improve ko ‘yung sarili ko in public.”

Moreover, the coronation for Mx. DCC will be held on October 9, 2024, at 1:00 PM, while the Mr. and Ms. DCC events are scheduled on October 10, 2024, at 8:00 AM, respectively.
