📒 There is a book that I listened to recently that really had a profound effect on my personal mindset. It's called "The Power of Consistency," by Weldon Long. I plan to reread it very soon. 📗

Long emphasizes the importance of setting specific, measurable goals and aligning them with personal values. He highlights the significance of adopting a positive attitude and mindset, as well as cultivating self-discipline and resilience.
Long also addresses the role of belief systems and self-limiting beliefs in hindering success. He provides guidance on how to identify and overcome these limiting beliefs, replacing them with empowering ones that support personal growth and achievement.

My first year teaching (band director), I was asked by another director at a meeting if I would like some coffee. Being a non coffee drinker (don't start), I politely replied no thank you and that I did not drink coffee. He snickered and said "Wait until you have been doing this 7 years and then you will!" Well 28 years later, still CANNOT stand the taste of coffee. (A little gas station cappuccino every now and then is good).

I know there are plenty of you out there that NEED that morning boost. Especially living with one that HAS to have her morning imbibement! So this one is for all of you...

I have read/listened to a few books over the last couple of months that have encouraged me to work on my mindset, trying to change some of the adverse habits I have allowed to control my actions for years. This past weekend I realized that this attempt at changing had a positive effect, and it made me smile externally and internally. For the last month I have been struggling with a new venture due to a snag that was holding up my progress. My previous mindset would have had me give up and move on to something else after that amount of time without a resolution, yet I found that my conscience pushed me to keep working to find a solution. After a long struggle, I found a solution and have been able to move forward once again, and it is exciting. It's true that we have to keep pushing forward no matter the obstacles. If you really want something, you will find a way to get it if you just keep working on it and don't give up, and have faith that you can succeed!!! 💯👍
