Supporting the Loyalty Campaign for Student Scholarships

Methodist University is home to a beautiful 6,370-yard, 18-hole golf course and one of the country’s top PGA-accredited Golf Management Programs. This par-71, recently renovated golf course located on the MU campus, is one of the most unique and challenging in the region. The practice facility at MU was recently ranked by the Golf Range Association of American as one of the “Top 50 Private Ranges” in the country.

MU’s Professional Tennis Management Program is one of only seven programs in the U.S. accredited by the United States Tennis Association (USTA). The courts at the Gene Clayton Tennis Center were featured in Tennis Industry Magazine as a “Distinguished Facility of the Year” and was ranked one of the top nine hard court facilities in the U.S. by American Sports Builders Association.

This event is the once-a-year opportunity for the public to play these distinguished, private tennis courts and golf course.

1. Dual camera feature on stories 🤳

Head to your profile, swipe right to stories, click on “Dual” option on left-hand side and viola!

2. Group profiles - We still love Facebook groups, don’t worry😉

Go to your profile, tap the “+” in the top right-hand corner, and select “Group profile”

3. Saved replies in DMs 💻

Go to your DM’s, select the three dots button in the upper right-hand corner. Hit “Tools” and “Saved reply”. Once you have saved a response, you can easily access your replies while in a DM conversation! Where you would normally type out a message, to the right, there will be a message bubble with three dots in the center… You can select the desired reply and even create shortcut words that once they are typed, IG will know exactly which saved reply you are looking for!

4. Story mentions - all in one place! 🙌

Head to your story window, select “Create” and then slide to the @ button! Select “See all” and there you go, all story mentions in one place AND time remaining to reshare these stories!

5. QR Codes 👀

Go to your profile, click the three horizontal lines on top right-hand side, select “QR code”

6. Facebook link in your bio 😎

Head to your profile, select “Edit profile” then “Links”, and lastly, “Add Facebook link”

🚨🚨🚨🚨Did you know there are BANNED hashtags on Instagram??

‼️If these are used on your profile, they could affect your reach - specifically your non-followers reach‼️‼️‼️

😳There isn't a cohesive list (provided by Instagram) of which hashtags are banned but here's an easy way to make sure you are not unknowingly, hurting your reach:

•Consistently check your hashtags to ensure that they have not been banned. 💻If they are banned, a message will display when searched saying "Recent posts for are hidden because some posts may not follow Instagram's Community Guidelines"
•Use specific hashtags based on your ideal client style and your location📍to avoid general hashtags (general hashtags tend to find themselves banned - too many people, good and bad, using it-)

🙊BUT don't freak out. Just make sure you are doing your homework and stay away from silly hashtags like
"kissing" & "love"!

Google is a great resource for looking at which ones are NOT to be used and keeping updated with what's banned! If you are putting in the effort and following strategies, you won't have to worry about this at all! 👏👏👏👏

It’s time to develop a content creation system for your wedding vendor business! 👰‍♀️💍

Build a system that will work in this busy season and with your current schedule! This is a weekly or monthly system that you will follow each time you are ready to plan, edit future posts, blogs, reels, pins, etc.

🗓️Make sure you leave room in your calendar to plan, create/film, edit, and schedule (if necessary).

📈 This will streamline your process and in turn, create more efficiency in the amount and the quality of wedding goodness you share!

There couldn’t be a better time to dive right in than 2023! 👀

😁It's basically a given that time blocking isn't going to guarantee your week is flawless ✨and that everything gets done.

👏BUT - giving yourself a little outline and marking the big "do or die" items, is such a great start to making sure your week goes as seamlessly as possible!

A few other things to keep in mind:👇

Buffer time - It took me a while to accurately leave enough buffer time between things.⏰ Allowing myself enough time for things like lunch, unexpected phone calls, 👀editing my to do list, travel time, and of course those unexpected glitches!😳

⏱️Try estimating how much time things will take instead of setting unrealistic expectations. If you know you are just making progress on a lengthy project, check out the next step!

⏲️Setting timers! Using an hour glass⏳to help me know when to move on from a project has been life changing! - (Cute ones on Amazon!)

🗓️Time block using a calendar app. I use "One Calendar" - it lives right on the Home Screen of 📲my phone and allows me to see all work things and personal things in one place so that I can't miss anything. 🥳🥳🥳

In order to grow on social media in 2023, make sure you have a repurposing strategy!

There are various methods of repurposing that might work for your business.

Some choose to pick a lead platform or channel that is their main focus. Let’s say yours is Instagram. You can brainstorm how to repurpose that Instagram content onto TikTok, Facebook, or maybe even your own website!

Another repurposing strategy to follow would be choosing one topic and branching off into multiple platforms. You can run with a unique idea by writing a blog, then taking snippets from the blog for social media captions. After the blog is written, all you have to do is pick the pictures/reel you want to go with the new caption!

If you are not repurposing your content in 2023, you are going to become exhausted trying to think of new ideas every. single. day.

😎Before they are published, make sure you are good to go.

👏Before you click share on a social post, make sure you are using those keywords in your content here, too!

Before you repurpose anything to another platform, make sure you have set your work up to succeed!

👀Because if you don’t… then you wasted your time and effort. Because without SEO keywords, your blog is just a journal entry.

What is SEO? 🤔
SEO or search engine optimization is vital to get more eyes on your blog content! 👀

To utilize it, you want to take your knowledge of the wedding industry and the ideal couple you are marketing toward. Then, predict what you think they will be searching for 🔍 when wedding planning! Adapt the keywords 🔑 in your blog accordingly and see your platform soar!

Creating content (not just blogs) around those keywords and topics will rank you higher in searches!
