This is why you can have a Biden Harris ticket where BOTH candidates have a history of mass incarcerating Black men and still get overwhelming support from our own women. I’m at the point in my live as a Black man that I reserve my right to speak with conviction ONLY on issues exclusively affecting me and my community - because our survival calls for it. However this Tanehasi interview has me temporarily suspend that practice. I remember visiting Israel and asking after a few days “where are all the Palestinians?” The response I was given “they’re all in the West Bank thats where they live”. I knew the answer to my own question but asked with the sole intention of seeing what a Jewish person would tell a seemingly naive Black American. Israel is essentially a few things: An apartheid state operating with the full military force of American gvmt; it is an occupation; it is a colonial state. One thing Israel is NOT - a victim. With that said this occupation has fueled the death of both Israelis and Palestinians. Many families on both sides have been victims of this Zionist regime.
