Posting for awareness!!!

Ang tawag po dito ay subconjunctival hemorrhage. Isa po ito sa komplikasyon ng sakit na Pertusis (dahil po sa matinding pag-ubo).

Pertusis is a type of cough that is cause by Bordetella pertusis. This is highly contagious, and transmitted via air droplets ( cough and sneezing).

In bigger children, complications are broken ribs, hernias and subconjunctival hemorrhage due to severe coughing. In infants, complications are pneumonia, seizure and death.

What I hate about pertusis is: ang tagal tagal gumaling ng pasyente, pwedeng umabot ng 2-3 weeks ang ubo.

This can be prevented by vaccinations and face mask. Please ask your nearest brgy health center or your friendly pediatrician.

Subject: RESUMPTION OF VOTER REGISTRATION

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has announced that voter registration resumes on February 12 and will run until September 30, 2024. It will be open from Monday to Saturday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (except for the Holy Week and other dates to be declared by COMELEC)

Who may register?
1. At least 18 years of age on the day of the National and Local elections.
2. Resident of the Philippines for at least 1 year, and at least 6 months in the place he/she proposes to vote.

You may visit your local Commission on Elections to register and bring at least one government ID, such as the following:

a. National Identification (ID) card under the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys)
b. Postal ID card
c. PWD ID card
d. Student's ID card or library card, signed by the school authority
4. Senior Citizen's ID card
5. Land Transportation Office (LTO) Driver's License/Student Permit
6. National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance
7. Philippine Passport
8. Social Security System (SSS)/Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) or other Unified Multi-Purpose ID card

Subject: KATIPUNAN NG KABATAAN PROFILING

A friendly reminder to all of our Sangguniang Kabataan Officials at the barangay level the conduct of profiling of the Katipunan ng Kabataan and the establishment, maintenance, updating, and submission of the youth database in observance of the DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2022-033.

The database shall serve as a guide in the planning of different youth development programs and crafting of youth development policies. With the data, SKs shall be able to effectively respond to youth concerns in their respective barangays.

We encourage all Ilocano youth age 15 to 30 years old to coordinate with your respective SK Officials.
