In 2010, I moved my mixing and mastering room to my home studio space and began working as a freelance producer/engineer at recording studios such as The Buddy Project. Working this way allows my clients tremendous flexibility with gear and space, as well as their budgets. As a producer/engineer, I will help you fulfill your artistic vision, whether you have in mind something slick and commercial
or raw and gritty. I will guide you every step of the way, from the minutia of mic placement and guitar intonation to arrangements and vocal coaching, song development and structure. I also offer my services as a vocalist, guitarist, bassist, drummer, percussionist, etc. In the video world, I can film your event, produce/direct/edit your music video, and do audio post-production. As a child, I played violin, piano and sax, starting at age 4. As a tween, I picked up guitar and my rock n roll dream was launched. By age 17, I was making studio recordings and touring North America with my band, Cruel. When I first moved from Madison, WI to New York City in the 90's, I worked with Bob Muller at the Dangerous Music recording studio for a few years. I have since been a member of:
Tragedy: All Metal Tribute to the Bee Gees & Beyond (co-frontman/guitar)
Double D**g & Wyld Lixx (guitar/vocals)
Moi? (frontman/guitar)
Losers' Lounge (regular guest-singer)
You may know me by my stage names: Fur Coat, Royce Peterson, Mo'Royce Peterson. With these bands, I toured extensively throughout the US and Europe. Locally, I have played at venues like Bowery Ballroom, Irving Plaza, BB Kings and Nokia Theater. I've been featured in publications like Kerrang, The Boston Globe, the New York Post and received international airplay.
