Morning Update

As India's covid patients are increasing with no proper help from Government, people are found desperate looking for medical support which is a big complication till now.
The news have been updating that people are running out of hospital beds and the most essential requirements like oxygen. The medical workers are undergoing sleepless night for almost a week.
Infants, old age, recent wedded, children are all seen helpless once they are detected covid positive and the make shift crematorium are full of covid corpses which we can't imagine to have. This very situation is depressing not only for Indians but it has become a global concern.
We pray for all our neighbor fellows who are going through such trauma and wish for quick recovery with helping hand from Global. May the departed soul rest in peace and may God give you and your family more strength!

With great love.

Losar is a Buddhist festival which is celebrated to mark the Tibetan New Year. It is considered as the most significant festival in the Tibetan calendar. Celebrated over a period of two weeks, the festival falls on the first day of the first month of the Tibetan calendar, which usually falls in the months of January, February or March according to the Gregorian calendar. The term Losar has been derived from two Tibetan words, 'lo' means 'year' and 'sar' means 'new'. This occasion is celebrated by the Tibetans with great zeal and gusto. It gives them a perfect excuse to feast on numerous delicacies and indulge in the spirit of merrymaking. People convey their heartfelt greetings by wishing one another 'tashi delek', which signifies good luck. The Tibetans also use various other greetings express their wishes. To know them, glance through the following lines.

Tibetan New Year Greetings

Losar is a three-day fete filled with full of excitement, elation and merry making. Preparations for the Losar festival consists of chang (a mild barley beer), sweet rice, tea, butter, fried biscuits, sweets, fruits, butter lamps, lophud (a young wheat sprout which symbolizes the birth of a new year) and collecting fresh roasted barley flour for phyemar, as it signifies good wishes for the coming year. These seasonal foods are kept on the family's Buddhist altar as an offering. The houses are thoroughly cleaned and painted new. New curtains are purchased or sewn and put up on the doors and windows.

A traditional noodle soup, called guthuk, is prepared on the Tibetan New Year's Eve. It is made from nine different items that include dried cheese and various grains. Dough balls are immersed in the soup that contains each of the nine different fortune symbols signifying the fate of the person in the next year. These nine symbols are chili pepper, cotton ball, wood, charcoal, sugar cube, wool string, paper, pebble and raw bean. 'Losar is Lekar' is a popular saying in Tibet which means the New Year is new work. Some of the greetings that are used by the Tibetans on Losar to wish one another are listed below:
Lo Sar Bzang’ denotes ‘Happy New Year’.
‘Bkra Shis Bde Legs’ means lucky and fortunate.
‘Tashi Delek’ signifies good luck or good fortune.
The Tibetans use ‘A Ma Bag Gro Sku Khams Bzang’ to wish other people longevity and health.
The youngsters use ‘Kra Shis Bde Legs Phun Sum Tshogs’ to bless the elder members of the family. This greeting also symbolizes lucky, fortunate and boundless beneficence.
‘Gtan Du Bde Ba Thob Par Shog’ is used as a general greeting for conveying a joyous and prosperous new year.
‘Lo Sar Bey Tashi Delek’ means ‘I wish you prosperity and good will’.
Thank you la

Losar Trashidelek la

The first day of the twelfth lunar month is celebrated as a New Year in many parts of Bhutan. It marks the beginning of the year according to the astrological calculations taught in the Lama Gongdü (བླ་མ་དགོངས་འདུས་) teachings of Sanggyé Lingpa (1340-1396). The common Bhutanese calendar was aligned with the Tibetan calendar, which in turn was based on Mongolian calendar many centuries ago. Thus, the day is known today as the New Year of the twelfth month (བཅུ་གཉིས་པའི་ལོ་གསར་) although this is the beginning of the first month according to the calculation based on which day is considered the New Year.

In Bhutan, the day is also known as the Traditional Day of Offering as some people claim that residents of Bhutan made their annual offering of grains to Zhapdrung Ngakwang Namgyel in Punakha on this day. The Trongsa Penlop is said to have led the representatives of eight eastern regions in their offerings, as the Paro Penlop coordinated the people of western Bhutan and the Darkar Ponlop oversaw the people of the south. In this regard, some people place a great significance on this New Year as a marker of Bhutan’s sovereignty and solidarity. However, some scholars contest that no clear evidence of such practice exists. In any case, many feel that before Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal’s unified Bhutan as a state, the local population in some of Bhutan’s valleys celebrated this day as a New Year. As a result, even the government instituted by Zhabdrung in the 17th century, then largely a monastic court, saw this time as an important part of the year. The retirement and appointment of high officials in the government and the monastic body took place mainly during this New Year celebration.

This New Year is primarily observed in eastern Bhutan, where it also referred to as Sharchokpé Losar (ཤར་ཕྱོགས་པའི་ལོ་གསར་), or New Year of the eastern Bhutanese. However, the observance of this New Year is not limited to eastern Bhutan and today with easy communication facilities, migration of people and intermarriages between various regions of Bhutan, people all over Bhutan observe this New Year. Like other Bhutanese seasonal festivals marking a new season, the Chunyipai Losar falls around the Winter Solstice. It also falls after the agricultural work for one season is completed and before the new harvest cycle begins. Thus, it is a seasonal celebration which is aligned well with the agrarian populace.

Formerly, the Chunyipai Losar was celebrated for several days. Families gather to eat good food, play games, and party in the evenings. Men often play games such as archery while women stay at home. In the evening, men and women often have parties at one of the households. Today, many families also go out to have picnic lunches. The Chunyipai Losar had been removed from the list of national holidays at one point but it was recently reinstated.

Biggest mistake I made in my life :::::

It’s obvious that everyone in this world commits mistake. We learn from every lapses we have in every moments of our life and sometimes it turns out to be frenzy. When my days are passing by me I cannot pretend letting that one thing go away from me. It is indeed a biggest mistake which I made in my entire life and even I suffered from manic disorder. One thing, we cannot keep mistakes or any faults as it is, if we don’t treat this as an emergency today, we will build habits that reinforce not valuing our time and eventually it will be even harder to break those habits later.

The flogging squalls of winter blew loudly. Screeching winds occasionally rose up making my boarding life at the remotest school lifeless. Exams were near and every corner where filled with murmurs of those hardworking students. They were burning there calories in topping the class while I was snoring on my bed. I was not a good student by then and still I am struggling. No doubt life is beautiful for everyone but it also carries problem, defeat, sorrow but facing them with our utmost courage and zeal these pains are bearable by providing hope.

Don't pull all lighters before an exam kids is a lesson I got from my class seven final exam. My eyes were red as I haven’t slept for almost three nights. Exam isn’t exciting my grim face won’t smile for a few weeks but after that 1 second of our final paper I could hear commotion around the hall and those blaring sounds of teachers hastily chasing the wrong doers. I went to my room and got some rest. By the time I woke from my deep slumber it was almost midnight and I could hear crumpling and screeching sounds from every corner. My friends were busy packing the things some even got there mattress ready for leave. I slowly strolled from my bed to another room where my friend from same village is staying. To my surprise they were all engrossed in playing cards and my friend was a winner when I saw there last throw. I watched their game until three of them were left while others went for their hibernation. Suddenly one of my friends (Tashi) started teasing one of the players whom I don’t have much acquaintance. It made their game refreshing adding mirth and jaunty environment.
By the time they ended their last game I was dozing on their bed with my head nearing their deck. Amid my beautiful dreams I could sense there dirty talks about their crush. My friend woke me from my deep sleep and handed me a mobile phone which was active on call. Some elderly man was shouting in the call “Why are you calling my daughter at this night, if I catch you I w9on’t spare your live”. Without taking a second thought I replied him with the dirtiest word in the dictionary which I cannot even imagine to whisper. We fought verbally for few seconds and my friend took away the phone. I asked them about the man and to my astonishment he was a teacher from our near primary school. I told them not to share about the incident to anyone even not to whisper in alone.

Next morning while I woke up they started mocking me about the incident. Everyone in the room are asking about it and they have shared almost to all. I got afraid as one of the councilors who came for taking over our room heard about it. He started counting the things in the room and left after checking the light system. We ate our lunch and went for checking the notice board for our departure time.
Somebody called me from behind asking me that I am summoned by the VP. This filled me with fright. I wondered if I should go and tell my friends, then decided to check to see if they were playing tricks with me. When I looked beside me, I saw a figure waving at me but couldn’t make out who it was. When I neared him so many questions flooded in my mind and I felt like suffocating. Few of my friends the mobile owner, the boy with girl number were standing near the VP drooping their head. Even the girl’s father was standing beside us with our warden. At that moment I pledged to my god that I won’t tease any girl or even talk to them and still I don’t talk that much though it was all my fault. They started interrogating us and finally our warden started thrashing us with a cane and battered with slap and kick. My friend even peed in the VP office. After that moment we were asked to submit statement to the school authority with no exception of my own friend who was the main culprit. I felt so sorry for the mobile owner though he is not involved in such mischievous actions. Life is cruel yet beautiful.

Thank You

Memories)))))))

Everyone claims that their life would make a great movie. Indeed the Bard of Avon said that "All the world is a stage, and all the men and women merely players; they have their exits and entrances''. everyone seems to think that way. we take life in terms of funny episodes, entertainments, coincidences in life that you have been part of and those daunting task you overcame to achieve something momentous makes a part of your memory. our life feels upbeat and chipper and sometimes lonely and downcast. our life delicacy is something we ignore in the mist of these memories. Life bitterness is only realized through those grim tragedy where we loose someone or we loose ourselves. We know Love comforts like sunshine after rain and it binds us all together and makes the world a much better place to dwell but we cannot allure it once it leaves us or confiscate others pleasure. Think about it, when people die why their family members cry? this is because they had a complex relationship with them. Our soul leaves its host and corpses soon becomes decomposed, exposed to the suns torrid rays, the tumefied faces of the dead took on the color of pitch and ultimately turns to a ghastly nightmare to other people. Everything is part of our life even exams too. It came and is still in the process solemnly checking the hardwork of students they endured till date.
So make memories as much as you can because only thing that makes you remember after death is only memories.

SALTY

By: Thinley norbu class 10
My name is Choptong and I am a recovering addict. In present I am undergoing higher education in ....... Central School. My whole education funding is made by our caring government and I feel that I am one of the blessed guys. As a recovering addict, I try by hook and crook to stay clean without drugs to brighten my leftover times which I shall face hereafter.
Cause and effect are an ultimate core that we Buddhist cherish and hold upon as the basic principle of all 80 thousand preaching made by our Enlightened one. I was a pious, religious and excellent student by then. As the wind of fate conquer my world everything changed not according to my perception not even to my parent’s expectation. A dramatic fate swapped away my fame, my wealth, my luxuries and even my good friends. Those fragmented memories still haunt me sometimes. I try my best to keep those secrets as secret forever however my only friend insisted me time and again to share my stories publicly so that it could somehow convince other youths who are suffering like me and who are still in the realm of such mystical worlds. The symbolic reason that changed my fate is four lettered word ‘LOVE’. Love is emotion that intoxicate both holder and beholder.
It all got started during a club session on Saturday 2015, by then I was studying in class 9. I was instructed by my club captain to manage a drawing pencil which he forgot to bring after several reminder from club manager. I came out of the class in furious mood and walked to my class. At that instant my eye caught first glimpse of her magnificent figure. I began to feel trifle nervous to pass by which usually is felt by others too especially when they reach near dear ones. I was abashed when I finally took her last view through my eye side. I noticed that she was busy chewing gum and making a gigantic bubble and then sucking it back forcefully by listening to those fairy tales of her friends.
Till then I never knew What love is? What beauty is? She was my perfect epitome of dakinies whom they dwell in the heaven. Everyone will define the word beauty in multiple ways but to me it only meant skin deep. I woke up several times in night and I could not put myself to sleep. Her gesture, melodious voice, beauty quenched my thirst of luxuries. By the time I came to my conscious, she was the only one I could think of. She became drug to my life which I cannot live without it. Being a boarder student isn’t cheerful thing yet it provided less burden to our parent. Both my aged parents are watching me with immense hopes and expectations. I feel sorry by this time because I even could not attend in their funeral rites. Finally, I summoned all my guts and shared about my feelings to her to my best friends which is included by author of his writing. I was an academic position holder and I secured third in midterm which might have added spices to my secret love. 2015 came to end everything came to end. Trees became naked, land became barren, dogs became thin with skinny body, and even my stream of luxuries came to an end.
Somehow my friends helped me to get her mobile number. Without even knowing her name the whole year came to end and forget about confessing my in depth love and care for her. Fearing time is good, absolutely good. It gives men a sense of morality and women a sense of transient of their beauty. It makes poor equal to rich and everything revolves around 24 hours. Tears welded my gaze for leaving the place where I first sow the seed of LOVE. Vacations was filled with busy schedule. I opened a new Facebook account which I promised to do so only during college days. I made few attempts to call her but my daunting heart commanded not to do so. One day I received a friend request from an unknown person probably a girl whose name was written as ‘Yangchen’. I checked her profile picture and I came to know that she was no other than my beloved girl. we commenced our chats and I became absent in helping my parents even during meals.
One day I finally shared my feelings. She didn’t give any response. The worst wait in life is waiting for someone to text back. Suddenly she answered to my feelings as “I will see”. Her confusing words left me tongue tied. The tremendous appreciation I harvest from my soften corner has made everything doomed towards my parents. That was not the thing they were expecting for. Gradually vacation came to end and I was promoted to grade 10 while she couldn’t. I invited her for first date near the kitchen and she turned up. We shared few words and I still remember the exact phrase I shared on our date. “I will end my only life with you and I shall even fulfill your wish even if it cost my life”. It grieved me later for sharing such words out of my embarrassment. Our relation went pretty well till I heard that she was caught red-handed by Vice Principal for committing in*******se with a boy from her own class. Fortune favors us occasionally but that time I felt being isolated. Tears were not enough to shed my pain even my blood will not. Due to this self-pity and sense hopelessness I started to take solace in ma*****na and later with pills. My memory still holds the rude actions that I have done to that boy but I was wrong. I didn’t take any food after hearing that she was terminated from the school. It was a real hell that I experienced during my entire life and even my sentiment was deuterated. I pursued my schooling taking drugs.
One day, my class teacher called me in her office. She asked about the reasons for being late, being lazy, being arrogant to teachers and finally she cracked her own reason that I was addict drug user. She persuaded me by telling that if I repeat such mischievous things for another time she would not hesitate to inform to administration. Such caring words made me to think better. I studied well for some extent and I appeared Board exam and probably my results were not good.
Once upon a time I use to tell my mom that I will become an engineer and build her a nice Mansion. Today I am taking Arts and my dreams and promise were like a dew on tip of the grass. Drugs ruined my life and my carelessness ruined my god gifted luxuries and it all concludes to my fate.

Thank you.
