As his career gathers pace and the roles get more substantial, does feel pressure to choose between fashion and acting? “Not really,” he says. “There’s more fluidity now.”

Once viewed as separate pursuits, the two worlds are increasingly intertwined, and Heuston is perfectly placed at the intersection. “I love fashion, and I love acting,” he explains. “Fashion is a huge part of storytelling, just like costume is when you’re building a character.”
From learning to tie sailor’s knots for his first-ever role to daily MMA training and sword-fighting for , Heuston approaches each character with precision and care — even if he didn’t grow up a prince in the Imperium.

“I throw my all into learning the skill sets of the people I play — it’s my way of understanding them.”

Though regularly branded a heartthrob online, insists the reality is far less polished, at least within his own circle. “I’m the biggest dork, or the butt of a joke a lot of the time. But that’s also what I want,” he laughs.

So, what’s it like being known for something he didn’t ask for — and can’t change? “It’s… confusing. That’s still how I view it.” Unlike his craft, which he continues to hone through hours of training, his appearance — and the public’s reaction to it — is largely out of his hands. “Like, I didn’t do anything at all,” he says, clearly a little embarrassed. “I guess that’s why it’s so weird. But that’s part of the reason I work so hard in other ways. I want to ensure I deserve to be in the room and continue to develop. I love this combination of making films and television shows for my artistic expression — but I also want to make stuff that people just love.”
