Thank you to all those who placed their trust in me during the recent general election. Your vote, every single one, is deeply appreciated. I recognize the crucial role you played in this result, and I'm dedicated to representing your concerns and fighting for your interests. While I was disappointed in the overall election outcome, I am encouraged by the swing in my favor, especially considering the significant drop in Labour's vote, down almost 10,000 from the 2019 general election. This shows that your voice is being heard, and I will continue to amplify it.
My primary focus now is to oppose the detrimental bus gates and Workplace parking levy (WPL) that Labour, LibDems, and the Greens plan to implement later this year. These policies threaten to cripple our local businesses and create significant obstacles for residents accessing vital services. Alongside the Independent Oxford Alliance, I am now turning my attention to the County elections in Littlemore and Rose Hill next year. We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that the needs and voices of all Oxford residents are heard and represented.

My manifesto for 2024 General Election.

Over the past few years, Labour has increased pollution and congestion in the city with the delivery of their LTN scheme. Labour will create more division and hardship for residents with the introduction of bus gates, and a parking levy (£650) that will tax keyworkers like Doctors, Nurses, and teac...

The proposed bus gate on Marston Ferry 'Link' Road, while aiming to push the school run onto the bypass, raises concerns about its potential impact on Summertown residents' everyday lives. With no post office in the area, residents needing a quick 'top up' for their gas or electricity bills would be forced to navigate the bypass to reach the Marston post office. Similarly, those needing prescriptions from the Summertown pharmacy would face a significantly longer journey, potentially damaging their ability to access essential services.

Labour's Anneliese Dodds did not comment when approached about what she really thinks about the LTN scheme. Voting Independent Oxford Alliance is the only way to remove this scheme.

MP candidates for Oxford East have spoken out with their thoughts on LTNs and council traffic measures such as the ZEZ and traffic filters.

The petition for a Road Safety assessment of the Newman Road Junction is still live. Please help me make the junction safer by commenting on the petition. Thank you.

A safety concern has been raised by David Henwood over the Newman Road junction in Oxford near the Rose Hill Roundabout at Littlemore/Crowell Road.

Working with Neigbourhood Neighbourhood Watch Network at the Rose Hill Community Centre we registered many more bikes on the national register. This helps deter theft as well as helping to repatriate owners with their bikes when stolen. We will be organising future events, so please watch this space.

On Tuesday I have been invited to the Blackbird Leys Parish council. Really looking forward to hearing their concerns on the regeneration scheme, and community centre. If I want to be an MP for Oxford East these concerns have to be acted on. Anneliese Dodds would be great if you could join us and listen to concerns.

Really looking forward to speaking at County councils full council this week. I will be opposing the Labour/libdemGreen alliance that want to introduce a parking levy that will tax keyworkers £600 to park their car at their place of employment. I will also oppose the LTN , and bus gates that will continuecto cripple businesses in Oxford.

A historic copper beech tree was felled today in Littlmore. I think the tree was originally planted by St John Henry Newman. We wanted to preserve a little of our social history and the tree surgeon also agreed to a short interview in the video. If you would like Julian (my son) and I to make something out of the huge ring we received, please let us know. A ring this size will take well over a year to season, so we have time. The video is just 5 mins

Thank you so much, everyone, many of you will have seen the staggering amount of gifts at the Oxford The Oxford Academy. The boxes Anne Starres and I put out are now both full. Along with donations from the sixth form, we think we may have enough gifts for each individual homeless person in Oxford. The Academy's sixth formers will now wrap all the gifts and deliver them at the end of the week. Thank you so much for your generosity. Have a merry Christmas.

Editor David Henwood, recently sent the Police an FOI (Freedom of Information request) regarding police responses within and around the Cowley LTN scheme. Here are the questions and responses in full.

Request
I want to find out if the Cowley LTN scheme has delayed police emergency response times in the area, both within the LTN scheme and neighboring communities.
Has the installation of the LTN scheme caused a significant increase in response times when compared to the rest of Oxford City?
Is the LTN scheme used as a safe haven for criminals, who may feel the LTN scheme would form a physical barrier in apprehending them?

Response
This request is being refused under Section 12(1) of the FOIA.
Section 12 of the FOIA allows that public authorities do not have to comply with section 1(1) of the Act if the cost of complying would exceed the appropriate limit. In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act, this letter represents a Refusal Notice for this request.

This response is very concerning, both for those residents living within and in the vicinity of the Cowley LTN.
