Would you like that fur…crinkled?! Same fur, very different looks! The fur on the left has been boiled and line dried to get that matted, monstery look!
You may have seen this fur texture on some of your favorite Muppets! They pioneered the technique for use in puppet making decades ago!

Fabric fiber check with a sly smile! I love seeing fibrous puppet fabrics up close! Probably due to a lifetime of staring at Kermit the Frog closeups.
Both puppets feature F3 fleece.

Choosing the right color for your puppets facial features is such an important step! Color theory can be very helpful but sometimes you just have to mock up all the colors you want to see to really make the choice clear!

Is this a Beatles album I don’t know about?! No! These are fun fleece “skin” samples for a new puppet! These samples are made of F3 fleece except the blue one which is NylaFleece.
Do you have a favorite?? I’m really excited about the one the clients chose!!
And jk about not knowing any Beatles albums. I know them all. ☺️🤭

“SURE dyeing more of this belly blue, with the slightest purple tinge, will be super easy!” - No, no it wasn’t.
I wanted more for the underside of his tentacles and it took 4 tries to even get in the ballpark!! And yes, the ones on the right side of the pic are the actual first three tries! Where did that greenish one come from?? Oh, that happens around the third try when you incorrectly wonder if maybe you’d added a dash of “Smoky Blue”! 😅
Anyways, like they say, dye til you drop! AND write down your color recipes!!!!
