In today’s podcast, Steve relates the problem of living with unforgiveness towards others: It revokes our forgiveness from God. Yep, that’s biblical…comes right from Jesus. If we think we can receive God’s forgiveness while holding others in debtors prison, Jesus tells us…ain’t gonna happen! Unforgiveness is the number one issue that will prevent any and all personal renovation from happening. If we don’t get this right, everything else we try to renovate will be in vain. The first major area of demo begins with receiving forgiveness and living in that default as we forgive others

Why would someone with unimaginable wealth choose to rent and not own a residence to live in. And, not only that, but to invest a large sum of money into the rental and then walk away from it leaving the equity to the actual owner? Seems a bit extravagant perhaps. It’s not something most of us would do because…well, we don’t have that kind of disposable income where dropping millions of dollars on something we don’t own and won’t receive a return from wouldn’t adversely impact our bank account.

But what if we understood that the lives you and I have are really on loan from God! In other words, we don’t own anything—God owns us! We come into this world with nothing and leave the same way. We have control over very little actually. Steve relays the story of a rich businessman he did an extravagant remodel for on someone else’s property. It is an example of how we are to invest in our own personal remodel, which God owns, in order to provide honor and a return on HIS investment
