This weeks Small Business Saturday feature is

ImagiDough was founded by former educator and mom Nicole to support children’s sensory needs through hands-on, open-ended play. Inspired by the impact sensory play had on her own son with sensory sensitivities, Nicole created ImagiDough to foster creativity, fine motor skills, and meaningful exploration for kids of all ages.

ImagiDough offers thoughtfully designed kits and experiences for parents, teachers, and therapists, with a mission to make sensory play accessible and enjoyable for all!

Veronica is a proud girl mama of two 💕 and are the spirited and sassy inspiration behind 🧵✨. Their bold little personalities sparked the idea for a brand that celebrates confidence, creativity, and motherhood with a whole lot of style.

Veronica launched Sew Bossy Threads in August 2024 while staying home full-time with her girls. What started as a fun way to pass the time during naptime quickly turned into a thriving custom embroidery business. This week’s Small Business Saturday Feature is

Carmina started Storylandia in the spring of 2024. She is a reading specialist, currently at home with her daughter. As she spent time reading to her, she noticed that the books often centered around specific themes. Inspired by this, she began creating sensory bins that matched those themes, which ultimately led to the creation of Storylandia.

Each box Carmina curates includes a theme, two books, a sensory table idea, a craft, a gross motor activity, and a toy—all carefully selected to align with the chosen theme. She also includes an activity guide with instructions for each activity, along with questions and discussion points to explore while reading the books.

Storylandia offers boxes in English, Spanish, or Bilingual, and customers can choose between a monthly subscription or purchasing individual boxes through the website.

More recently, Carmina began selling sensory fillers and sensory bottles that coordinate with the themed boxes.

Storylandia’s Mother’s Day box was featured on Chicago Today on WGN.

Founded by Adrian and Marina, new parents to Lucas and Fiona (the “Lu” and “Fi” behind Lufi), the idea was born from their desire to raise bilingual children. They discovered music to be a powerful learning tool, but it often meant screen time.
