This is the Acmar Coal Washer. I spent a lot of time here as a boy. Now all the openings are almost underground.

This is the most viewed photo I have. This photo was shot in the mid-1920's at the St Clair Springs Hotel. This group traveled from Georgia and were headed to the Pennsylvania area. The photo was found years ago when cleaning out the Masonic Lodge and was in fine condition when I saw it about 3 years ago.

The Ashville Upping Block. It was used to help ladies in long dresses mount their horses and for a short period it was used for the selling of slaves.

Pleasant Riggs Crump's grave. He was born in Crawford's Cove and was the oldest Confederate soldier. He witnessed the surrender of General Lee at Appomattox Courthouse.
