Levi Clements, a seventh-grader at Horace Mann Middle School, had his first taste of tackle football this fall while playing for the Eagles. With four years of flag football experience behind him, Levi welcomed the challenges that came with the more physical version of the sport.

We’re thankful for the warmer temps this week, but it’s still winter out there. Save yourself the hassle of being out in the cold by picking up your materials at MCPL Wausau’s drive thru!

All you need to do is select MCPL - Wausau Drive Up when placing a hold - it’s really that easy! The drive thru is accessible via the lower parking lot off of Stewart Ave. The pick up window is open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and items can be returned 24/7.

Starting January 9th, Wausau's Firefighters will be transitioning to a 48/96 schedule on a trial basis. Under this schedule, our dedicated firefighters will work 48 consecutive hours on duty, followed by 96 consecutive hours off duty. This change is designed to enhance the well-being of our firefighters and improve the service we provide to our community.

Why the change? Many fire departments across the country have adopted this schedule because of its benefits not just for firefighters and their families, but for the communities they serve.

We’re confident that this schedule will continue to support our mission of providing exceptional service to Wausau. Thank you for your ongoing support of the Wausau Fire Department and our firefighters as they strive to serve you at their very best!
