Hosting classes on money and life skills, and managing relationships.

Let’s help the young ladies aging out of foster get connected to the resources they need by supporting Bessie’s Angels.

Heal from trauma through self-expression. -Yemoja Speaks

My niece taking her mental health seriously by expressing herself through art. She did a beautiful painting of an eye, being able to see the future or having clarity in her life,. She performed an amazing poem about unresolved issues and lack of support that cause depression in the younger generation.

I am proud that she can address the issues that many of us have gone through or are currently in yet haven't found the words to express it yet.

Congrats for expressing it Connie, it takes courage to speak your truth.

Yemoja Speaks Healing Through Arts was successful.

I want to thank everyone who came to support the event on August 7. I would also like to thank Bessie's Angels for sponsoring my event. It took time to plan and bring my idea to reality, but I did it with their help; we made it happen.

We danced, performed poetry, discusses our bodies, and our health. I truly am happy to have created a space where women could understand themselves and appreciate themselves again.

Some of us are mothers, we are friends and we are partners. Carrying all these titles can weigh us down but having a space like this helps us to put aside the titles and to show up for ourselves.

It’s time to “Heal Through Arts” Yemoja Speaks presents the first event to help use our talents in art to heal from our traumatic experiences.

I use my poetry to write letters to people who have hurt me or helped me while others use dance, singing, drawing, etc. to help understand their emotions and experiences.
