The Hebrew name for Sagittarius is Keshet which means “a bow for bending, rainbow” which symbolically represents the word of God. (See Hab. 3:9 KJV)
The Archer is bending his bow to aim his arrow at the heart of the Scorpion.
“Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.” (Ps. 45:5)
The Scorpion represents all those who are in rebellion against God’s laws as seen by the scorpion which is depicted in the heavens as grasping hold of the Balances in Libra a symbol of the law of God. The sting of the Scorpion representing “the sting of death”, Scorpuon itself representing the enemy of God.” The Savior gave us the promise:
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” (Lk. 10:19,20)
This power is in the Word of God (the bow). When Jesus was tempted in the wildness, by the devil, he used his bow, the word of God to defeat the enemy. With each temptation, he responded by saying “it is written….” using the the Word of God to defeat Satan, that first great “rebel” in heaven who rebelled against his Crestir and was cast out.
Jesus has given us power over serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy as signified in the sign of Scorpio. Therefore Jesus said “rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” Besides sting of the Scorpion is the Butterfly Nebula. In its left wing when zoomed in on it there is a brown colored book with at least two people above it and black shadowy fingers over the top of the book. Might this be a representation of “the Book of Life” wherein our names are written?” Might be!
Sagittarius is represented by the Hebrew letter Zayin which means “a sword or a weapon, to divide.” The sword is another symbol representing the word of God. Zayin has a value of seven. The word of God has seven divisions to it.
The number 7 besides representing perfect and complete also relates to “rest.” on the seventh day, God ended his work, which he had made and rested on the seventh day. (Gen. 2:1)
Story that I told Sagittarius is that of Joshua leading children of Israel into the promised land and giving them rest from their enemies roundabout. The rider on the horse is Joshua. Joshua’s forefather was Joseph of whom it was said:
“The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him: But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob…” (Gen. 49:23,24). It was Joseph who was given a robe of “many colors” by his father Jacob reflecting the colors of the rainbow!
On another level, the rider in the horse is also representative of the second Joshua, Yeshua whose name is identical to that of Joseph’s in the Hebrew. He is pictured riding on a white horse with his “bow” in Rev. 6:2.
“And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.”
We see him again on the same white horse in Rev. 19:11
“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.”
In verse 13 it says that “his name is called the Word of God” which is the “bow.” (Hab. 3:9)
And finally, we see that God’s throne is enveloped by a “rainbow”!
“And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.” (Rev. 4:2,3)
There could be no greater symbol surrounding the throne of God than that of a “rainbow”representing the Word of God that proceeds forth from the throne of the universe!!
