One of the women from my business community sent me feedback.

She has been upskilling from one of the opportunities shared on the platform and loving it.

I am slowly working to bring all we do in that closed space on here. It's not easy, but we will do it 😅

Whatever you do,don't stop learning.

One lesson I am glad I learnt as soon as I started doing business was to never mix sentiments and business. I learnt that from my late father who always made reference to a popular Nigerian tribe (the Igbos). They are the most successful tribe doing business anywhere in the world.

The temptation to sell your product or service can be so strong that you want to sell at all cost to family and friends who do not value your offer.

Unless they are credit worthy, do not sell to them at all cost. It will not end well. You will lose your money and the relationship you had.

The bitter truth is they are often the last set of people to see value in what you bring to the table. Don’t catch any feelings about that. Focus on your main market.

Have you had any experience doing business with family and friends that did not end well? Let’s learn from you.
Or is there a better approach?

I am an advocate for women and children who suffer domestic violence and r**e. I was the immediate past Publicity Secretary for International Federation of Women Lawyers (Ekiti state chapter, Nigeria)

I was a Board Member of the Ekiti State Internal Revenue under the immediate past government of Dr Kayode Fayomi. No, I don’t do politics but I am proudly a Soro Soke advocate. 😅
I was nominated out of my salon and I am glad I got to sit where I could influence decisions that could potentially affect growing businesses positively.

I was also a PEBEC speaker, the only entrepreneur chosen to speak for Ekiti State enterpreneurs in 2019.

I quit active practice in 2013 because my passion had always been business. 😅

I am a side hustle expert. I will be showing different side hustles I run as we go on this journey together.

I thoroughly enjoy helping women do better in their businesses. My salon business is a hub for women connecting and doing business collaborations.

Now that you know all these about me, 😅 we can focus on talking about business and how I am about to be in your faces this year.😂 Sorry, not sorry.
So if you are a Leonzora woman, you better be joining in this ride.

Feel free to ask questions below. 👇🏾

It was the year 2017. I spoke to a colleague in the beauty industry in Ekiti state, Nigeria where my salon business is based. I told her I wanted to go for a 2-day bridal masterclass training that was priced at N50,000.
She exclaimed saying it was too expensive. In her words “is it not just bridal styling?”. I gave her my mannequin and told her to show me what she had. Oh she did a good job but it was not what I wanted.

I paid for and went to Lagos for the training. That was one of my best decisions till date and the turning point in my business.

I have made that money over and over again, I have tutored on same styling and made the money.

I wonder where I would have still been had I listened to her and stayed in my comfort zone.
So I say “Get uncomfortable today”, stretch yourself.

What is holding you back from taking that paid course or training? 👇🏾

Staying top of mind for your ideal client is key. In a world where the attention span of the average individual is shorter than that of a fly😅, you need to device means of being in their faces with your offer.

How do you do it, dear enterpreneurs?

May you receive wisdom and speed to execute timeously this year 2023 in Jesus name. Amen.
That passion you have and have been thinking it over for years. It is time to turn it into a profit.

Your belief system is what will determine if you can successfully do so. If you do not believe others are turning their passion into profit, you will not see yourself doing same.
