I got a new lens because my beloved Yongnuo 35mm f/2.0 EF lens has passed into the equipment nether. I use that lens a lot so I thought this time around I wanted a native Sony E mount lens so I can use the autofocus a little more for photos. I also went with 24mm so when it is on my crop cameras it will give me a rough 36mm equivalent. Unfortunately the fstop isn't as low as the 35mm so I bought a variable ND to keep this bad boy wide open always. I'm excited to see how it performs on a gimbal! @ Saint Paul, Minnesota

What a year it has been! I've finally achieved some cinema milestones: shooting in anamorphic, getting a proper cinema camera, shooting in 4K, learning the ins and outs of my gimbal and so much more! I am excited at the new cinematic ventures I will go on and new things I'll learn along the way.

I wanted to do something a little different. I was going through and making room on my portable hard drive and came across my old project files for a short film I started but never finished.

There are three different sequences I filmed, all out of order to ensure speedy shooting according to whatever people’s schedules were back in 2012 haha.

I’m mostly impressed with my After Effects work, I literally have no idea how I did what I did on these videos.

Let me know what you think! Keep in mind these were far from being fully finished and polished. Some audio is pretty bad, there is some missing pickup shots, etc.
