- wala kayong disiplina at 'sense of sacrifice' bilang mamamayan.

I don't know if you agree, but something invisible came and put everything in its place.
Suddenly the gasoline went down, pollution went down, people started to have more time - so much time that they do not know what to do with it - parents are spending time with their kids as a family, work is no longer a priority, or traveling or social life either.
Suddenly we silently see within ourselves and understand the value of the words "solidarity", "love", "strength", "empathy" and "faith".
In an instant we realized that we are all in the same boat; rich and poor. That the supermarket shelves are empty and the hospitals are full.
New cars and old cars also stand in the garages, simply because nobody can get out.
Empty streets, less pollution, clean air, the land also breathes.
The human returns to his origins, realizing that with or without money, the important thing is to survive.
Today, health is the main thing, even in spite of wanting to have or possessing.
It took 6 days for the universe to establish the social equality that was said to be impossible.
Fear invaded everyone.
At least this happened to realize the vulnerability of the human being.
Nature is forcing us to clean up the mess made by ourselves.

Our overthrown gods:
-Money
-Sports
-Fame
-Politics

What the coronavirus is teaching us:
-Our best protection: GOD
-Our best refuge: HOME
- Our best company: FAMILY
- Our real time: TODAY
- Nature's call: STOP US
- Its message: WAIT, RESPECT

We are not gods, we are not kings, we do not have the power of controlling everything.

We are part of a whole, fragile, brittle and vulnerable something.
Part of a whole something that we wanted to dominate & today is telling us:
Stop, breathe, respect.
Go back to the basics, to the essentials, that the peace of your soul guide you towards what you are:a CREATION.

This is the reflection that we must have TODAY!!!

28/03/2020

#1. Uminom ng maraming mainit na liquids o inumin, tulad ng kape, sabaw, tsa, at mainit na tubig. Makabubuting uminom every 20 minutes para panatilihing basa ang lalamunan, at sa ganitong paraan mapunta sa tiyan ang virus at doon ay may posibilidad na mamatay ang virus sa tulong ng mga gastric juices at acid sa ating tiyan;

#2. Mag-gargle (mumog) ng antiseptic mouthwash (tulad ng Listerine, atbp.), o kung wala haluan ng asin, s**a o kalamansi ang maligamgam na tubig. Gawin ito araw-araw. Mas magandang gawin ito kasabay ng inyong mga anak.

#3. Ang virus ay maaaring dumikit at manirahan sa buhok at damit. Ito ay kayang patayin ng sabon ngunit kung ikaw ay galing sa labas mainam na huwag munang umupo at humawak sa mga bagay pag-uwi ng bahay. Dumeretso sa pagligo. Kung hindi makakapaglaba araw-araw, mainam na ibilad muna ang damit sa arawan at makakatulong din ito sa pagpatay ng virus.

#4. Linisin ang mga gamit na gawa sa bakal dahil ang virus ay nananatili sa “metallic surfaces” ng hanggang 9 na araw. Maging maingat sa paghawak ng mga railings (sa escalator, elevator, mesa, door k***s, switch, gripo, lababo, refrigerator, susi, susian, cell phone, gadgets, atbp.) Mas maigi madisinfect itong mga ito kahit sa inyong mga gamit sa loob ng inyong tahanan.

#5. Huwag manigarilyo.

#6. Ugaliin maghugas ng k**ay tuwing makalipas ang 20 minutos. Ang paghuhugas ng k**ay ay dapat tumatagal ng 20 minutos din gamit ang kahit na anong sabon na bumubula. Mas mainam kung antibacterial or disinfecting soap.

#7. Kumain ng prutas at gulay. Hindi lang lebel ng Vit. C and magandang pataasin kung hindi pati ang Zinc sa ating katawan.

#8. Hindi naipapasa ng hayop ang COVID-19 virus sa tao, ito ay karaniwang tao-sa-tao. (Pero maganda pa rin yatang nag-iingat)

#9. Iwasan magkaroon ng ‘flu’ (trangkaso) dahil ito mismo ay nakapagpapahina ng resistensiya, at iwasan ang malalamig ng pagkain at inumin

#10. Kung may konting maramdaman na hindi maganda sa lalamunan tulad ng sore throat, o mga paunang sintomas nito (tulad ng parang sisipunin o uubuhin), labanan ito agad sa pamamagitan ng mga nabanggit sa itaas. Sa lalamunan ang unang atake ng virus at umaabot ng 3 hanggang 4 na araw bago ito mapunta sa lungs (baga)

Kinain mo ung binili mo

Kinabukasan sumakit lalamunan mo
Kinabukasan sumakit ulo mo
Kinabukasan nagkaubo ka
Kinabukasan nilagnat ka't nilamig
Kinabahan ka nag punta ng clinic
Kinabukasan PUM ka na

Pero kinabukasan ulit nilagnat ka na naman
Kaya nagpacheck up ka
Nagpositive ka sa covid19
Ha?
Paano?
Baket?

O dahil naisip mong lumabas?

Huli na ang lahat.
So ano na desisyon mo?
Home quarantine ka ba?
Hmmm. Baka makahawa ka?
O sa ospital ka?
Ikaw lang magisa?
D ka pwedeng dalawin kase makakahawa ka.
Kakadepress un.
Magisa ka lang
Ang sama ng pakiramdam mo.
Mag isa ka lang.

Namatay ka.
Magisa ka lang.
Cremate ka agad.
Magisa ka lang.

KAYA KUNG AYAW MONG MAHIRAPAN AT MAMATAY NANG MAGISA, MAKINIG KA
WAG MONG ISIPING LUMABAS PA.🙏🙏🙏

'' BANANAS...'' Very interesting FACTS

Never, put your banana in the refrigerator!!!...
This is interesting. After reading this, you'll never look at a banana in the same way again.

Bananas contain three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy.

Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes.

But energy isn't the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

DEPRESSION:
According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana. This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.

PMS:
Forget the pills - eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.

ANEMIA:
High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia.

BLOOD PRESSURE:
This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.

BRAIN POWER:
200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school ( England ) were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.

CONSTIPATION:
High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.

HANGOVERS:
One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.

HEARTBURN:
Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief.

MORNING SICKNESS:
Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.

MOSQUITO BITES:
Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.

NERVES:
Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system..

Overweight and at work? Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and chips. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.

ULCERS:
The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL:
Many other cultures see bananas as a 'cooling' fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Thailand , for example, pregnant women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.

So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has FOUR TIMES the protein, TWICE the carbohydrate, THREE TIMES the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals.. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, 'A BANANA a day keeps the doctor away!'

PASS IT ON TO YOUR FRIENDS.

PS: Bananas must be the reason monkeys are so happy all the time! I will add one here; want a quick shine on our shoes?? Take the INSIDE of the banana skin, and rub directly on the shoe...polish with dry cloth. Amazing fruit !!!

Corona virus awareness‼‼‼

This is from a doctor in Hong Kong who consulted with his friend (who currently works on SARS prevention research) on some effective ways to prevent the Coronavirus. Worth a read.

About the virus:

1. It is pretty large in size (cell is about 400-500nm diameter), so any normal mask (not just the N95 feature) should be able to filter it out. However, when someone who's infected sneezes in front of you, it will take a great 3 meters (about 10 feet) before it drops to the ground and is no longer airborne.

2. When the virus drops on metal surface, it will live for at least 12 hours. So remember if you come in contact with any metal surface, wash your hands with soap thoroughly.

3. The virus can remain active on fabric for 6-12 hours. Normal laundry detergent should kill the virus. But if you are really worried, you can add some non-chlorine bleach or oxygen bleach . For winter clothing that does not require daily washing, you can put it out under the sun to kill the virus.

About the symptoms of the pneumonia caused by Coronavirus:

1. It will first infect the throat, so the throat will have the dry sore throat feeling which will last for 3 to 4 days

2. Then the virus will blend into the nasal fluid and drips into the trachea and enter the lungs, causing pneumonia. This process will take 5 to 6 days.

3. With pneumonia, comes high fever and difficulty in breathing. The nasal congestion is not like the normal kind. You will feel like you are drowning in water. It's important to go seek immediate medical attention if you feel like this.

About prevention:

1. The most common way of getting infected is by touching things in public, so you must wash your hands frequently. The virus can only live on your hands for 5-10 mins, but a lot can happen in those 5-10 mins (you can eat food without washing hands, rub your eyes or pick your nose unwittingly lol).

2. Aside from washing your hands frequently, you can gargle with Betadine Sore Throat Gargle to eliminate or minimize the germs while they are still in your throat (before dripping down to your lungs).

Hope this helps!

You gave a loan of $ 40,000 to a friend two years ago BUT since then he has refused to pay back, which has really affected your friendship. You have pleaded with him to pay you $ 20,000 and forget the rest.

He tells you he can only get you $ 15,000 because that's all he has.
You feel like you have no option but to accept. You give him your account details to send the amount directly to your bank.

You wake up the next morning to check your account and there you find $ 150,000 in it.
You keep staring at the screen in disbelief but it is indeed $ 150,000

You check other notifications on your phone and find 53 missed calls from him and an additional 27 text messages begging you to transfer back 135,000 $ since he only meant to send you $ 15,000 but accidentally added an extra "0"

What will you do?

1. Send back 135,000$
2. Take out your full 40,000$
3. Keep the entire 150,000$ to teach him a good lesson?
4. Any other options

Explain the options.

Top 5 Reasons Why OEC Should Be Abolished

Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) is a piece of document that overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) need to present to the Immigration Department upon leaving the Philippines for work abroad.
The main purpose of OEC is to provide proof that as OFWs, they are exempted from paying travel taxes and terminal fees. Once they present this document, along with their passports, OFWs are cleared to bypass the collecting agents located inside the terminal building across international airports in the Philippines.

OECs can be filed at consulates and embassies of the Philippines located abroad, as well as POEA offices in the Philippines. While the cost may be minimal, many OFWs argue that it’s not just about the money and the time spent, but more on its practical use.

Why Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) requirements must be abolished

1. It’s costly
The title may be a bit too much if the cost per copy of OEC is an affordable P100. But to ordinary OFWs who haggle for better exchange rates so they can send more money back home, this amount (or equivalent foreign equivalent), is too much. Not to mention the cost of transportation, food and effort just to fall in line and get this document.
2. It’s time consuming
Obtaining OEC or exit pass can be long especially on places where concentration of OFWs is high. Therefore it can be a considerable amount of time to get this form sorted out. And since time is also money, don’t we think it’s sometimes more practical not to get OEC to avoid costs and risk to physical health and inconvenience at work?

3. It’s not practical
Paying a fee for a document that exempts one from paying a fee sounds redundant and impractical. If you add the hourly rate at work queuing, paying for transport or even taking a leave from work, may even be higher than the airport terminal fees and travel taxes combined. But OFWs are forced to comply, because failure to present an OEC to an immigration officer could get them at risk of offloading.

4. There are other ways we can prove ourselves as OFWs
If the main reason of OEC is to prove that Filipinos are certified working abroad, OEC is not the only document that will solve this issue. OFWs can show their job contract certified as valid by the embassy, visa on their passports or IDs / residence permits of their country of employment. OEC just complicates the matter and has become a big nuisance to many Filipinos abroad.
5. It adds workload to consular staff
Staff who are supposed to attend to more important tasks — assist distressed OFWs, follow up labor violations, and others — are forced to sit and issue these OECs, thereby making them unavailable to assist Filipinos who seek other forms of help.

We have been notified previously that OEC will be abolished. But until now, or at least in 2014 (see Twitter feed below), OEC is here to stay.

Update:
POEA administrator Hans Leo Cacdac confirms that they are working on a system that will store OFW information in a database. Expected to be ready by 2014, it will eliminate the need for OECs.

Basic features versus upgrades

Passive income for wants, active income for needs
