👉👉👉 from Manna Kitchen if anyone would like Thanksgiving dinner. 🥰

“We are excited to be providing our community with a Thanksgiving meal this year. Meals will be served to-go style at the back of the Soup Kitchen from 10 to 12 on Thanksgiving Day.

Each to-go bag will include a meal of oven roasted turkey, garlic mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, dinner roll and butter, garden salad, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, along with napkins and utensils.

Meals are available to anyone in our community, no questions asked. In a year where many will be spending the holiday away from family, we encourage anyone seeking a home-cooked meal to come by and pick up a plate. There are no requirements to receive food and no check in processes - guests can simply pick up a number of to-go boxes and go on with their day. We'd also like to note that Manna uses COVID-safe cooking and take out methods to keep you safe and healthy. All meals will be individually packaged and include biodegradable utensils.

We unfortunately remain closed to volunteers, but there are still many ways that you can give to Manna. We are always accepting monetary donations online and physical donations at our back table. We are also honored to be the recipient of many upcoming food drives, detailed below.”

We can’t control the virus, but we can control our reaction.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen neighbors support each other, nonprofits distribute food to those in need, and even people giving away FREE free toilet paper. Gasp! People are supporting and inspiring each other when we need it most. So what is this website? We want to build on this positive momentum and support you.

Here’s the thing… We think this whole COVID-19 thing is a REALLY big deal that is going to impact us, our town, our nation and our world in the next weeks, months and years. We ALSO think that being informed and up to date on what’s open, ways we can get involved, resources for when we need help, etc. etc. is REALLY important.

The last thing everyone needs while social distancing on their couch is another sad, fear inducing news article, or another overwhelming government website full of links into an abyss of ?!?*&@! We know what it’s like to be a local during this time. We feel the craziness that is navigating being a business owner, parent, dog owner, daughter, and friend. So… we wanted to create a FREE community hub for our fellow humans to learn, explore and be informed.

#DurangoStrong aims to be a community hub where all of Durango’s resources can be found in one easily searchable place. Find what you need, fast, take action, and bust a move. Can you dig it?
