I wonder how will proceed without ? Since she passed before the show even started airing, I doubt they’d recast. I’m guessing they will rewrite the last 3 episodes to include a nice tribute/memorial for her character & the final 2 will set up another character perhaps her sister to move in to help the others grieve. If they went that route, I wonder who theyd pick. 🤔

This reminds me of when Redd Foxx passed away also after filming 7 episodes of his new series “The Royal Family”. However, in that case, the episodes had already started airing.

They gave his character a funeral & brought in to play Della Reese’s “much younger sister Ruth” as she introduced herself. 🤣

However the next episode she was renamed Coco & became Della Reese’s never before mentioned Daughter “Coco”.

I thought they handled the passing of Redd very well in the show & Jackee was a nice edition & made for a funny dynamic with Della’s Victoria because the two never got along.

Unfortunately only 15 episodes were made before cancellation, only 12 ended up airing.

However if it had continued we wouldn’t have gotten Della as Tess on Touched By an Angel or Jackee as Lisa Landry on Sister Sister!
