Dr. Pramod Avti joins as an Associate Editor of the journal-ScholarX Biomedical Engineering
Dr. Pramod Avti, Associate Professor, Department of Biophysics, PGIMER, Chandigarh, India was a research associate at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering Divisions, Laboratory of Molecular Imaging, Ecole Polytechnique and Department of Chemistry, McGill University, Montreal. He was a postdoctoral associate at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Ecole Polytechnique, and Montreal Heart Institute, Montreal, and also a postdoctoral fellow at the Departments of Biomedical Engineering, Stony Brook University, New York, USA. He has earned many national and international awards for his research in developing innovative nano-bio-materials as platforms for a variety of biomedical applications – Translational and Molecular Imaging award, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, and Young Investigator Travel Award. Best reviewer Award, to name a few. He published more than 90 peer-reviewed high-impact international research articles, reviews, books, and book chapters. He is an active reviewer since 2010 for more than 30 international journals in the field of Biomedical Engineering, Material Science, Nanotechnology, Nanomedicine, Biomaterials, Biomedical optics, Tissue Engineering, Chemistry, Biomed Phys & Eng Express, etc. He is also a member of various international and national scientific societies. He has delivered more than 40 invited lectures at various national and international conferences/meetings/workshops. Recently, he is honored as an elected member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS). His research interests include Biomedical Engineering, Materials science and Engineering, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine and Computational Science nanomedicine, biosensors, and contrast agents.
Dr. Avti's editorial leadership and outstanding research expertise and experiences garnered from several world-class international research institutes will definitely inspire researchers in biomedical engineering across the globe.
