We have brotherly called each other “Bano” and “Mas Bano”. Somehow, we found comfort with these words sharing the trials and tribulations of medical school and internship years.
We were busy creating our new home and adjusting to life in a foreign land that it took several years without any communication. Yet when we reconnected, we found that the distant past has rekindled our friendship, laughing at the same jokes we used to laugh and reminiscing many happy moments. When we talked about serious stuff, it was obvious that the love and dedication to your family and work was behind your indefatigable attitude and your ultimate success. This made me so proud of you, Bano.
You are a true friend. You are kind, humble, smart, and trustworthy. You are a person who would tackle his own problem and would not make a friend worry for the trouble that you were experiencing to the very end.
You and your family will always be in our hearts and prayers.
