The world's largest sail-assisted yacht, 142.8m S/Y A is filled with groundbreaking technology ⚓

She was built by Nobiskrug, and just like M/Y A, her design was made by the French designer Philippe Starck. Her masts is the largest composite freestanding objects (around 300ft/92m) in the world and can withstand two times the load of a Dreamliner's wing. The masts alone took English manufacturer Magma 3 years to build.

164m Eclipse held the title of world's largest private yacht until 2013, when the 180 metre Azzam stole the crown ⚓

At her launch the 164m yacht's unprecedented size had ensured her construction had been shrouded in secrecy, and as such, subject to much rumour and speculation from both the international press and superyacht enthusiasts. Although not all the details of the luxury megayacht are unveiled, it is known that her interiors feature designs by the renowned London-based team at Terence Disdale Design.

It is believed that Eclipse boasts a military-grade missile defense system, armor plating and bulletproof windows, while hosting three helipads, a private theater and a fitness center. Her highlight is a 16 metre swimming pool that can be converted into a dance floor. Eclipse can reportedly accommodate 36 guests in 18 cabins as well as a crew of 70. As for the performance, the megayacht is powered by 4 MTU 20V 1163 TB93 diesels, reaching a top speed of 25 knots and comfortably cruising at 22 knots.

180m Azzam is speculated to have a price around 400 million pounds ⚓

She was built in 2013 at the German shipyard Lürssen. At 180.65 meters, with a top speed of over 30 knots, Azzam has outstanding characteristics, including her exceptionally short building time of less than three years from keel laying to delivery, in 2013.
