As a mama, I struggle to find time to read. I love to read - I didn’t as a youngster in my middle, high school, and even college days. I felt I wasn’t “good” at reading. I was never really encouraged to read independently at home as a child. These days, I find I can only finish complete chapters at the nail salon when I can have peace. (This book is a must-read for any new parent!)

Now, as an educator, I know how very important it is to nurture a love of learning and reading to my toddler. He picks up books on his own and does “picture reading.” I often notice he handles the book - flipping the pages and holding it upright! I read to him everyday and sometimes multiple times a day!

Take the time to read to your little and help them unlock a world of imagination!

All aboard!

I’m lucky enough to be able to visit my parents every month to spend quality time with them and my baby. The drive from where I live to them is about 4 hours, but with my baby in tow, it turns into about 5 hours.

Being present in exhausting moments isn't easy.

How to Throw a Fun for All Ages Toddler Party:
🎂Bake a custom cake (or buy one)
🎂Pick a cute theme and stick with it throughout the decorations
🎂Balloons are super festive, fun for littles, and fairly inexpensive
🎂Set out age-appropriate toys for play time
🎂Put out a food/snack spread for little ones and adults
🎂Offer adult beverages 😜
🎂Expect the unexpected - messes and accidents are sort of inevitable with toddlers and babies
🎂Be flexible with the party timing. Consider having the party as a "drop-in when it's convenient for you" such as 11am-3pm. Offering this wide time frame gives parents flexibility to pop in before or after nap time.
