Soursop Ice cream

Ingredients:
4 cups (32 oz) soursop pulp (seeds removed)
1 3/4 cups (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 cup (8 oz) whipped cream
1 tsp mixed essence or vanilla essence
Instructions:
Prepare the Pulp:
If your soursop pulp has seeds, remove them. Add the pulp to a blender and puree until smooth.
Mix the Ingredients:
In a large bowl, combine the pureed soursop pulp and sweetened condensed milk. Stir until well mixed.
Add Whipped Cream:
Gently whisk in the whipped cream until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Flavor It Up:
Add bitters (if using) and vanilla or mixed essence. Taste and adjust the flavor if needed.
For an Ice Cream Machine:
Churn the Mixture:
Pour the mixture into your ice cream machine and follow the manufacturer’s instructions until the ice cream reaches your desired consistency.
Without an Ice Cream Machine:
Initial Freeze:
Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container with a tight lid, or cover a freezer-friendly bowl with plastic wrap. Freeze for about 30 minutes, until very cold but not fully frozen.
Beat the Mixture:
Remove the mixture from the freezer and beat it for a few seconds using a hand mixer or blender to break up any ice crystals.
Final Freeze:
Spoon the mixture into a tightly sealed container or individual serving cups. Freeze until firm, about 4-6 hours.
Enjoy your soursop ice cream! 🍨🌟
Prep Time: 15 minutes (plus freezing time)

Six months after being placed in tissue culture media , the Division of Agriculture's Molecular Diagnostic Unit at the Dominica China Science Complex in Portsmouth, has successfully followed and completed the protocol for the generation of dasheen tissue culture plants on island.
Local dasheen cultivar (Comme) was replicated by using the tissue culture placing apical stems in media. Plant tissue culture is a micro-propagation technique for producing plants in artificial media under aseptic conditions.
A demonstration plot will be established at the One Mile Agricultural Station to continue the observation of the growth and development of the tubers.

We now have more than 80 farmers from a dozen communities providing ethically and sustainably sourced sugarcane from the island. Sugarcane is mainly used in the processing of the stalks to make rum. However, the impressive plant mass it produces can also be converted into energy—combustible material, charcoal or biofuel. We love our local sugar cane for the unique taste it provides for our Rosalie Bay rum. Rosalie Bay Distilling is a unique operation that is producing rum from sugarcane juice supplied by 80+ local farmers, and contributing 100% of its profits toward conservation efforts that protect sea turtles, coral reef, whales, and more.

Did you know our organic, Caribbean crafted single rum is produced and shipped sustainably? We can track the sugar cane from field to glass. Our attention to detail and sustainability is not only important to our craft distillery, but also helps our local island. Staff are all local and bring the spirit of Dominica to every bottle. The proceeds from every bottle go towards funding ocean conservation. This is your chance to join in on our initiative
